The materials used in our hip replacement prosthesis have four characteristics in common:
• They are biocompatible. They can function in the body without creating either a local or a systemic rejection response.
• They are resistant to corrosion, degradation, and wear. Therefore, they will retain their strength and shape for a long time. Resistance to wear is particularly significant in maintaining proper joint function and preventing the further destruction of bone caused by particulate debris generated as the implant parts move against each other.
• They have mechanical properties that duplicate the structures they are intended to replace. For example, they are strong enough to withstand weight-bearing loads, flexible enough to bear stress without breaking, and able to move smoothly against each other as required.
• They meet the highest standards. These high standards extend to fabrication and quality control at a reasonable cost.

SYN Hemi-Hip (Bipolar) Arthroplasty System Indications
• Intended for hemi arthroplasty for patients with massive acetabular deficiencies which do not permit secure fixation of the acetabular component.
• Hip instability caused by a deficiency of the abductors is a relative indication.
• If patient has no abductor musculature, bipolar implant provides added stability against dislocation.

BIOMAN Hip Resurfacing System | BIOTEK has developed BIOMAN hip resurfacing device that combines the principles of conservative arthroplasty with metal-on-metal bearing technology – an innovation that provides a solution for the treatment of younger patients with osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis of the hip.
BIOMAN Hip Resurfacing System is ideal for the younger, more active, higher demand patient group which conserves femoral bone, provides anatomical bone loading and eliminates polyethylene.
Features of the BIOMAN Hip Resurfacing System include:
• Extensive range of options.
• BIOMAN femoral components are available in 2mm increments from 40mm to 50mm, and are manufactured to exacting standards, ensuring optimum sphericity and surface finish.
• Acetabular Cups are available in 2mm OD increments from 46mm to 56mm providing surgical flexibility.
• This unique design has the benefits of easy introduction, improved cup positioning and increased pullout resistance.

Austin Moore Prosthesis The Austin Moore Prosthesis is intended for primary hip arthroplasty, hip resurfacing arthroplasty, hip replacement arthroplasty, hip replacement resurfacing and hemiarthroplasty without using cement for all elderly patients with fracture neck femur. The factors considered for surgery include age of the patient, type of fracture, general medical condition and other systemic co-morbidities.
