Knee Arthroscopy
 | Arthroscopy is a surgical procedure in which an arthroscope is inserted into a joint. Fluid is then inserted to distend the joint and to allow for the visualization of the structures within that joint. Usually the surgery is viewed on a monitor.

Our goal is to make technically demanding surgical procedures easier, safer and reproducible.
Biotek offers a complete line of knee arthroscopy products working in conjunction with some of the industry's most innovative surgeons. We focus our research and development efforts on technique-specific devices for Cruciate and Meniscal Reconstruction and repair systems, Graft Harvesting, Tunnel Preparation, Implants as well as Meniscal associated accessories.

Shoulder Arthroscopy
 | Shoulder Joint Arthroscopy and Shoulder Replacement Arthroscopy is a surgical procedure in which a small fiber optic telescope (arthroscope) is inserted into a joint. Fluid is then inserted into the joint to distend the joint and to allow for the visualization of the structures within that joint. Usually the surgery is viewed on a monitor so that the whole operating team is aware of the type of surgical procedure that is being performed.
New products such as shoulder joint arthroscopy and shoulder replacement arthroscopy innovation in arthroscopic surgery is the heart and soul of Biotek, which has resulted in the development of wide range of shoulder joint arthroscopy, shoulder replacement arthroscopy and knot pusher for arthroscopic and minimally invasive orthopaedic surgical procedures. Spine
 | The treatment of diseases of the spinal, one of the most sensitive structures of the human skeleton, keeps presenting us with enormous challenges. But we would not be a successful manufacturer of spinal implants if we did not master these challenges with ever increasing consistency, innovative thinking, and technical competence.
We carry out both bio-mechanical and clinical studies, and every day, the latest scientific findings are being incorporated into our work. As a result, implants for the surgical treatment of injuries or diseases, as well as mis alignments or degenerative changes of the spinal, are continuously improved. Successful products with a personal touch that have been created in collaboration with international spine surgeons. The implants and instruments for spine surgery by Biotek are used in surgical treatment of injuries and illnesses as well as deformities or degenerative changes in the spinal column. Our product range includes not only rod-and-screw systems for the cervical and thoraco-lumbar spine and cages for inter somatic fusion, but also dynamic systems for non-fusion stabilization of the spine.
Our product range includes:

Elbow Arthroplasty
 | Total elbow replacement arthroplasty, elbow joint arthroplasty and elbow replacement surgery (arthroplasty) can help restore comfort and function to elbows damaged by rheumatoid arthritis. In elbow arthritis the joint surface is destroyed by wear and tear, inflammation, injury, or previous surgery. This joint destruction makes the elbow stiff, painful, and unable to carry out its normal functions. Elbow Arthroplasty, Elbow Replacement Arthroplasty, Elbow Joint Arthroplasty and Elbow Joint Replacement Arthroplasty can be effective primarily in the management of severe elbow involvement from rheumatoid arthritis.
The goal of Elbow Replacement Arthroplasty and Elbow Joint Arthroplasty is to restore functional mechanics to the joint by removing scar tissue, balancing muscles, and inserting a joint replacement in the place of the destroyed elbow. One part of the artificial joint is fixed to the inside of the humerus (arm bone) and the other part to the inside of the ulna (one of the forearm bones). The two parts are then connected using a hinge pin that gives the joint stability.
Indications
Your physician may determine that an elbow replacement is appropriate if you have one or more of the following conditions:
Bone injury or bone loss contributing to elbow instability
Abnormal stiffness, immobility, and consolidation of the elbow joint (ankylosis)
Painful deterioration of the elbow joint cartilage (osteoarthritis)
Painful inflammation in the lining of the elbow joint (rheumatoid arthritis)
Arthritis resulting from physical injury to the elbow joint (traumatic arthritis)
Elbow joint instability or loss of motion, which cannot be satisfactorily addressed by more conservative treatment options
A previous elbow joint replacement, which has worn or failed.

Shoulder Arthroplasty
 | The most common indications for Shoulder Arthroplasty, Shoulder Joint Arthroplasty and Shoulder Joint Replacement Arthroplasty are: Non-inflammatory degenerative joint disease including osteoarthritis and avascular necrosis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Revision where other devices or treatments have failed, Correction of functional deformity, Fractures of the proximal humerus, where other methods of treatment are deemed inadequate; Difficult clinical management problems, including cuff arthropathy, where other methods of treatment may not be suitable or may be inadequate.

Hip Arthroplasty
 | Total hip arthroplasty, hip resurfacing arthroplasty, hip replacement arthroplasty and hip replacement resurfacing is an orthopedic success story, enabling hundreds of thousands of people to live fuller, more active lives.
Using metal alloys and high-grade plastics, BIOTEK has developed highly functional, long-lasting prosthesis in order to enable orthopedic surgeons to replace a painful, dysfunctional joint. Over the past decade, there have been many advances in the design, construction, and implantation of our hip prosthesis resulting in a high percentage of successful long-term outcomes.
The materials used in our hip replacement prosthesis have four characteristics in common:
They are biocompatible. They can function in the body without creating either a local or a systemic rejection response.
They are resistant to corrosion, degradation, and wear. Therefore, they will retain their strength and shape for a long time. Resistance to wear is particularly significant in maintaining proper joint function and preventing the further destruction of bone caused by particulate debris generated as the implant parts move against each other.
They have mechanical properties that duplicate the structures they are intended to replace. For example, they are strong enough to withstand weight-bearing loads, flexible enough to bear stress without breaking, and able to move smoothly against each other as required.
They meet the highest standards. These high standards extend to fabrication and quality control at a reasonable cost.

"PAT" Intramedullary Nailing Systems
 | Intramedullary nails are used to align and stabilize long bone fractures. They are inserted into the bone marrow canal in the centre of the long bones of the extremities (e.g. femur, tibia and humerus).
One of the significant advantages of intramedullary nails over other methods of fixation is that Intramedullary nails share the load with the bone, rather that entirely support the bone. Because of this, patients are able to use the extremity more quickly.
BIOTEK offers a wide range of intramedullary nails in both titanium and steel versions.
Our Product Range includes:
PAT Reconstruction Femoral Nail
PAT Proximal Femoral Nail
PAT Distal Femoral Nail
PAT Antegrade Femoral Nail

Locking Compression Plate Screw System
 | The Locking Plate Screw System combines locking screw technology with the advanced design of plates to create constructs for use in comminuted fractures or where deficient bone stock or poor bone quality is encountered.
By combining locking screw holes with compression slots, the plates can be used as both locking devices and fracture compression devices. This technical innovation, combined with the transition in plate thickness thinner in the metaphysis to thicker in diaphyseal areas - gives surgeons the ability to lock in the perfect fit.
The locking compression plate was designed using the concept of internal fixators, which provides a new solution for the fixation of osteoporotic fractures. The fixed angle between the screw and the plate increases the pull-out strength of the system, so the stability of the fixation no longer depends totally on the quality of the bone. The other benefits of this system include the fact that no accurate contouring is required, it protects the local blood supply, and it supports minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis.
Biotek offers a large selection of anatomically preshaped Locking Compression Plates-Screws for a broad spectrum of indications.
