EDMUND'S 21 MM AND 27 MM DIAMETER GLASS CONTACT RETICLES
Glass reticles offer greater stability than a film reticle which can bend, warp and easily be damaged. Patterns are low reflection chrome deposition for high contrast and easy readability. Markings are on the outside of the reticle so that the scales are always in direct contact with the object under view. This provides optimum focus and accurate measurements. 15 reticles to choose from for use with ES 6X, 9X and 12X comparators. However, while the reticles indicated with an asterisk may be used with our 12X, it is difficult to see the edge of the field. Reticles can easily be cleaned with our Edmund Lens Tissue. Our focusing eyepieces, which fit international standard monocular microscopes (23mm diameter) are specially designed to receive eyepiece reticles of 16mm or 21 mm diameter. This allows the reticle to be brought into sharp focus when superimposed on the object image, which is often difficult to achieve with fixed focus eyepieces. The reticle is held within the eyepieces by a screw-in retaining ring which can be removed for cleaning or replacement by another pattern.
