Mr. B. Malakar founded Bishwanath Photo Engraving Works, in 1980. For more than two decades, we have been engaged in manufacturing and exporting of different optical& measuring instruments like reticles, lenses, prisms, stage micrometers, optical coatings, counting chambers, refractometers, sub assemblies for optical sights etc. Our determined approach has enabled us to produce equipment known for strength, pressure and quality optical instruments are used in research and defense industry.

The optical instruments are made using latest machinery are known providing accurate results. Keeping in mind the growing needs of the clients, we offer them with coating facility using dielectric beam splitter and providing them with hard layer over coat of gold, silver, aluminum which helps in enhancing the shelf life of the lens by protecting them from external influences, abrasions and scratches. This facility has enables us to win accolades from the international clients.


	Products We offer a comprehensive range of products that are widely used by engineering, production, inspection and testing department of various research institutions and military units. Our range of products comprises of reticles and reticle assemblies, diameter glass contact reticles, conventional and complex lens systems, prisms and prism assemblies, mirrors and mirrors assemblies, optical flats, magnifiers, zoom and stereo microscopes, critical measuring with your microscope and microscopes. These fabricated products are tested for quality and are made using the latest gadgets. These enables us to provide the best of the services to the clients which are at par with the global standards. 	Infrastructure We have a strong infrastructural set up with the production unit in a carpet area of 7000 sq.ft and administrative block in an area of 1500 sq.ft. The production unit is equipped with different latest machines for grinding, polishing, packaging and a host of other testing equipment which help us in manufacturing the lenses and instruments with precision. Beside perfect infrastructure unit we have a team of professionals. Our team aptly makes use of technology and ensures that the customer gets the world class products at reasonable prices. From time to time our team of technicians and mechanical engineers conduct machine maintenance test and monitor that the various quality parameters are not compromised at the different stages of production.


	Quality We have our own in house-testing department, where the acquired raw materials like glass, metals, plastic etc. are checked for their quality through chemical analysis. If the raw material passes through the test and our quality experts gives nod for their perfection, then only they are used in the manufacturing process. Once the production starts, our quality experts conduct various tests at different stages of production for their quality consistency. Once the finished products are ready they are tested using different instruments, namely, MIL-O-13830, MIL-M-13508, MIL-B-48612, MIL-STD-810. The lenses are checked for their: • Strength • Pressure • Scratch absorption capability • Surface Quality Standard • Focus Quality It is only after multiple quality assurance test, they are ready for the delivery and dispatch.


	Packing Unit It is highly important to pack the microscopes, refractometer, assemblies, reticles, magnifiers and other instruments in packing that will not destroy or damage the instruments during storage & transit. For this purpose we have a special team of packaging experts who pack the item in the best packing does not harm the product. They may be packed in packing box, plastic bags and double boxing units which helps them in providing extra protection to the product. Once they are packed and sealed thoroughly, they are labeled with the manufacturing details. The box is clearly labeled with 'Handle with care' and various instructions are written in simple language. At the time of dispatch of the orders, our team of workers carefully handle the boxes and load them so that the product retains its original design and reaches the customer with zero defect.


	Logistic Support We have a strong logistic support, which enables us to deliver the products on time to the final destination. Our tie ups with the leading and reliable C&F agents and shipping companies enable us to streamline our delivery process and thereby helping us to guarantee our clients with the prompt services. They have the ready fleet of delivery vehicles that help us in delivering the consignments using the best transport in hygienic conditions. Beside this our logistics personnel take care of the necessary paperwork required for consignment deliveries.
