Tied Single Bellows Assembly:
The addition of tie rods to a Single Bellows Assembly adds design flexibility to a piping system. The tie rods are attached to the pipe or flange with lugs that carry the pressure thrust of the system, eliminating the need for main anchors. With the assembly tied, the ability to absorb axial growth is lost. Only lateral and angular movement can be absorbed with the tied expansion joint. The addition of tie rods does not eliminate the need for a well-planned guide system for the adjacent piping.
Tied Universal Assembly: :
Similar in construction to a Universal Assembly except that tie rods absorb pressure thrust and limit movements to lateral offset and angulation. Large offset movements are possible in a Universal Assembly by increasing the distance between the two bellows.
Hinged Bellows Assembly: :
When a Hinged Expansion Joint is used, movement is limited to angulation in one plane. Hinged Assemblies are normally used in sets of two or three to absorb large amounts of expansion in high pressure piping systems. Only low spring forces are transmitted to the equipment. The hinge hardware is designed to carry the pressure thrust of the system, and often times, used to combat torsional movement in a piping system. Slotted Hinged Expansion Joints are a variant of the standard Hinged Expansion Joints that allow axial and angular movement. Be careful! Once a Slotted Hinge is introduced, torsion in the piping system is still resisted but the hinge no longer carries pressure thrust.

Hydrasun India manufacture Stainless Steel Annular Convoluted Hose and also Stainless Steel Braid to suit. Our hose product range consists of two types:
B-FLEX A close pitch hose with a high degree of flexibility and suitable for most metal hose applications. 1/4" (6mm) to 10" (250mm) nominal size DN.
C-FLEX A very close pitch hose with an exceptionally high degree of flexibility, a higher working pressure, and also often suitable for movement and vibration applications. 1/4" (6mm) to 6" (150mm) nominal size DN.
Hose is normally supplied in Grade 321 S/S Braid is normally supplied in Grade 304 S/S Hose and Braid can also be Grade 316 S/S
Braid can be supplied separately if required or Customers hose can be over braided in our factory. We have one of the best braiding facilities available as we have 16,24,36,48,64, and even 96 carrier machines.
This gives us the ability to produce top quality Stainless Steel braid from 1/4" (6mm) to 12" (300mm) nominal size DN. Size 8 (200mm) nominal size DN and above are made as braided braid manufactured by initially weaving single steel wire into braid strands. These strands are themselves woven to form the final braid on our massive 96 carrier braider resulting in a highly stable and flexible construction.
We also manufacture and stock Stainless Steel braid for other applications from 6mm to 300 mm bore.

The rubber grades used for the inner and outer ply are empirically defined rubber compound rated to certain properties. An expansion joint is a device used to allow movement in a piping system while containing pressure and the medium running through it. Frequently, thermal growth, equipment movement, vibration or pressure pulsation can cause movement in a piping system. When flexibility for this movement cannot be designed into the piping system itself, an expansion joint is the ideal solution.

RELIEVES PIPE AND ANCHOR STRESS
Thermal Expansion, along with other external forces and displacements including Ground Settlement, can quickly exceed allowable pipe and anchor stresses. Black Flex Expansion Joints absorb these stresses and replace them with their low products stiffness or reaction force.
Hydrasun rubber hoses have been optimized by calculation and verified by experimentation to produce highly elastic, pressure-resistant hoses with the capacity to absorb large movement. Rubber hoses have a three-ply wall structure:
Inner ply (core) of medium-resistant rubber compound
intermediate ply of rubber compound with reinforcement
Outer ply (hose cover) of weatherproof rubber compound
The rubber grades used for the inner and outer ply are empirically defined rubber compounds rated to certain properties.
The inner rubber material - the hose core - is selected according to media resistance and the intended operation as well as installation conditions (e.g.: NBR or EPDM). The outer rubber material - the hose cover - is adjusted according to the external conditions.
The hose cover should be wear-resistant and weather-proof. Rubber hoses used for inner vacuum and/or outer overpressure have a vulcanized steel helix or vacuum support rings. This sustains the full flow cross section under all operating conditions. The same applies to hoses which need to be installed in tight radii.
Electrical conductivity is achieved by an integrated copper cord, or by using a conductive rubber grade. The described structure results in outstanding media resistance under rough operating conditions. For the rating of hoses exact details must be provided for medium, temperature, pressure or vacuum as we,l as movement absorption.

Rubber flange hoses in the version with retaining flanges are flexible across the entire area of the hose.
Therefore, they are particularly suited for short structural lengths. Another advantage is the continuous rubber covering from sealing face to sealing face. Highly flexible versions are also available on request.
