bluecoat 4509 is suitable for labeling on hdpe, ldpe, pet and pvc bottles.
bluecoat 4509 can be used for manufacture of stock paper.
bluecoat 4509 is also suitable for use in carpet backing.
bluecoat 4509 is suitable for preparation of coating composition for sound proofing.
storage
the container should always be kept tightly closed, so as to prevent thickening and skin formation due to evaporation of water. Pieces of skin / formation should be removed each time, prior to use. In case water separation is observed, simple stirring with a wooden rod could be resorted to for making the material homogenous once again.
in summer months or in hot regions, the containers should be stored in a cool place as far as possible. At all events, exposure to direct sunlight and heating of the containers on one side only, should be avoided.
shelf life
bluecoat 4509 has a long shelf life exceeding 6 months to 12 months provided they are stored properly as mentioned above under storage.
proper fabric treatment and adequate degreasing are very important for good result. Therefore, wash the screen with clean water and dry it.
mixing
take 1 kg of bluecoat emulsion in a clean vessel. Also take a glass of distilled water sufficient to mix 5 to 7 grams of ammonium bi-cromate and stir the solution till it is completely dissolved. Mix this solution of ammonium bi-cromate with the bluecoat solution of 1 kg. And stir until the colour of the solution is changed to light uniform green. Viscosity of the emulsion can be adjusted with distilled water filter the emulsion with bolting cloth and close the container at least for 1/2 hour so that all the air-bubbles are disappeared.
processing and coating techniques
it is always desirable that light in the photography department is subdued light and if possible, yellow light.
direct emulsion coating requires skill to produce uniform pinhole free stencils. Important factors are the fabric mesh number, thread diameter, colour of the fabric the tension and the solid contents, the thickness of the coating blade, angle and speed of the coating blade across the screens etc. If you change the supplier of the bolting cloth, check and see that you are receiving the same type of material as before. Thus it is very important that print quality is dependent upon the correct coating technique. If the coating is made to the satisfaction then one coating is sufficient from outside otherwise repeat the procedure.
drying
after the coating is over, it is important to thoroughly dry the coated screen before it is exposed otherwise stencil quality will be poor. Moisture remain present in the coated screen even when the screen feels dry to touch if you are coating the screen for second time. It is important that the first coat be thoroughly dry before the second coat is applied. Dry the coated screens in horizontal position at room temperature with fans, to get best result and sharpness.
Bluecoat 9000 is widely used for all Types of Wood, Cold Press/Hot Press and Post forming applications.
For bonding Plywood/ MDF /Particle board etc with each other & also bonding with Laminate/Veneer etc.
For Edge Bonding, Finger Jointing and Wooden Flooring (where water seepage is not present)
For filling knots, holes and cracks in all kinds of timber and wood.
For the purpose of bonding paper / cardboard / Thermocol / Book-Binding, Pencil Manufacturing, Handicrafts and Paper Tube Making.
For manufacture of sports-goods, fabric-starching, and wall-paper fixing.
Application Method
The surface which is to be bonded should be properly leveled and made free from oil / grease /dust & excess moisture. For best results roughen the surfaces to be bonded.
Excellent spreadability for better coverage.
The entire process of application & pressing should be completed within 10 minutes.
Both surfaces are then brought together with proper alignment and pressed firmly to ensure uniform contact & even spreading of adhesive.
Bonded area should be kept under pressure with the help of tapes, nails, clamps or support.
Any excess adhesive should be wiped out with a wet cloth immediately.
Pressure can be removed after 8 hours and it is now ready for the use. Complete curing is achieved in 24 Hrs.
Bluecoat 2709 is an internally plasticized copolymer dispersion of Vinyl Acetate. Its surface properties are adjusted to give good spreading and wetting on variety of surfaces. Its rheology is adjusted to give economical flow over pickup rollers of application machines.
The dried film of it exhibits mild tack with adequate shear strength and elongation. Since it does not contain migratory plasticizer or solvent the dried film does not promote colour leaching.
Applications
Bluecoat 2709 is suitable for print lamination of BOPP, Polyester, PVC and other films giving good economics with excellent flatness, adhesion, transparency and gloss with paper. It wets wettable printed areas.
The controlled cohesive strength, elongation and tack developed in the dried film is generally capable of taking care in fair measure, any problem found in print lamination such as fluting or wrinkling.
As it is a common adhesive for all type of films inventory cost of the adhesive can be keep to minimum.
Storage
Bluecoat 2709 can be stored in cool place and should not be exposed to sunlight. Container should be properly closed to avoid skin forming, before use remove any skin that may be formed due to water evaporation from the surface and stir the mass with disinfected clean wooden rod to mix and homogenize the water separation that may have occurred in the top layer with settling in the lower layer.
