Expanded Metal Mesh![]() A major advantage of expanded metal is that the mesh is formed from a single piece of material like mild steel, stainless steel or any other metal sheet which is cut and stretched while still leaving it attached at the knuckle. This allows it to retain its shape when cut and will not separate. Often cutting to shape is the only fabrication needed. The uncut knuckles support weight and withstand stress better than jointed welds or woven material. Expanded mesh can be supplied in a variety of finishes, thickness, raised or flattened. Flattened is smoother but is not as strong as the more robust raised mesh. Vibrating Screens![]() Vibrating Screens are heavy duty wire meshes used for rugged operating conditions such as scalping, sizing or processing heavy abrasive materials such as ores, crushed stones, sand, gravel, metallic and non metallic minerals, coals slag etc. Screens are manufactured to any mesh size and any thickness using high tensile abrasion resistant spring steel, galvanized iron and stainless steel wires or rods to suit particular applications. Screens can be manufactured to suit your required dimensions with or without edge preparations. Welded Mesh![]() Weld mesh is manufactured from metal wires welded using an electronically controlled electric process employing the principle of fusion combined with pressure at their intersections. This gives a homogeneous section without any loss of strength or area. By using different diameter wires, it can be made into light or heavy gauge product. Because it is welded it can be cut into any shape. It cannot separate or fray and does not require tensioning in order to pull it into shape. It can be supplied in framed panels made to customer’s requirements. Its large open area gives good visibility when used as screening or for guards. Wire Mesh![]() Wire Mesh can be made with numerous materials including galvanised mild steel, stainless steel, spring steel, aluminium, nickel, brass, copper, phosphor bronze, monel etc. Several patterns are available with plain weave being the most popular followed by twill, plain dutch weave, dutch twill weave, reverse dutch weave and multiples weave. Wire mesh is made by weaving wires of different diameters. This determines the aperture, the open area and the strength of the material. Crimped mesh is also available which is made from wire mechanically crimped or pressed prior to weaving. |
