The unit has quartz crystal controlled Real Time Clock with battery back up (back up of TenYars), operating in 24 hours fashion. Eight-bit micro controller is used to control all the operations. The time setting is achieved with the operation of various keys provided on the equipment. On Time of the SIREN is also settable. The present time (HR / MIN along with Day Month and Year (DD / MM / YY) is displayed on the 16X2 Alphanumeric Bakelite LCD. One change over Potential Free contact of 6amps at 230 Volts AC suitable to operate the siren is provided. We can also provide the SIZE 0 contator if required for enhanced power requirements. MANUAL mode is also provided to operate the SIREN in case of EMERGANCY.

This machine is suitable to weld the hot junction of a simplex / duplex / triplex grounded and ungrounded mineral insulated (mi) thermocouples of various types ranging from 1 mm to 8 mm. Oxidization dose not take place as the welding process takes just few milliseconds. The use of argon inert gas for pre weld and post weld times does not allow the junction to oxidize at all. The welding is done by stored energy, rater than the current, making the weld as a beautiful bright bulb.
A capacitor bank is charged to the required voltage, which is monitored digitally on a voltmeter, depending upon the energy requirements, which is according to the size and type of thermocouple wires. Two more additional capacitor banks can be added for thick wires. Actuation of the start switch purges argon gas to the junction for predefined time, (pre-welding) the arc is struck and the capacitors are discharged. The heavy discharging current flows through the joint fusing the same, forming a bulb, completing the welding. The argon continues to flow for predefined time (post weld time) cooling the thermocouple, and is at room temperature. Same procedure is adopted for duplex / triplex thermocouples, with the adjustment of torch.
The thermocouple is prepared and adjusted properly, in a holder. A special fixture, retains the welding torch and can be moved in both x and y direction with lead screw type of precise arrangement, for accurate positioning, for welding simplex, duplex, triplex and quadruple thermocouples. The up / down movement with lock allows the torch movement vertically. All these facilities makes the welding of duplex / triplex / quadraple thermocouples without any removal of the same, during welding. A crocodile clip, which is used to connect the other end of the thermocouple, forms the second electrode. A gap of about 0. 5-to1. 0 mm is adjusted between the junction and torch to avoid any contamination of the welding electrode. Welding dose not take place, if the torch touches the junction.
The provision is made to put microscope for inspection. The unit works on 230 / 110 v ac mains.
It is a tedious job to draw the dial of any parameter, when almost all the types of sensors are non-linear in nature. In order to achieve the required accuracy it is essential to calibrate each and every unit and plot the dial accordingly. It is very difficult to
extrapolate the intermediate positions for the dial makings to suit the requirements. The draftsman, who must be skilled operator is likely to make mistakes, when he is tired and under tension, particularly in the second or third shift.
The total production is hampered if the required dial is not available and moreover the skilled draftsman is essential.
We have developed a software which can be run on any computer like IBM PC/XT/AT etc. and with the help of a XY plotter the dial can be ready within one or two minutes. The appropriate calibrated angle for each Major Division can be fed by a Menu Driven Software and the extrapolation is done automatically by the computer. All other information like Unit Tag, No., Date of manufacture etc can be set by the operator through the software.
The XY plotter has a provision to accommodate 8 types of pens having various line thicknesses and colour. A special dial holding arrangements can be made to hold various types of Dials on the plotter bed.
As the marking is done directly on the Aluminium dial with the help of Fast Drying ink, the same dial is ready for use almost immediately.
This software is made for a special application, we can add any type of dial and extra parameters required for your application, making it very flexible. Even the Duel Rang Dials can be plotted with the other parameter being calculated by the computer, improving the accuracy to the great extent.

The Equipment is designed to measure the response time of the temperature sensors, either thermocouple or platinum resistance sensors. The range of the unit is 999.999 secs. with 1 m.sec. resolution. A crystal controlled clock is used for measurement of time for better accuracy, stability and reliability. The continuous display of input is provided for monitoring purposes.
The unit is capable of accepting

Testing of all types of thermocouple or RTD can be done with the help of this instrument.
The input (either thermocouple of RTD) is selected by switch. The four wire method is used for measurement of RTD input.
The instrument measures the time between the two set points settable with the help of two sets of four digit thumbwheels provided on front panel.
The measurement can be either on upgoing or downgoing sensor inputs. The mode of input is selected with the help of UP/DN switch is in UP position, the Time count is started, when the input of the sensor under test, crosses the minimum setting and is stopped. When the input crosses the maximum settings. When UP/DN switch is in DN position, the time count is started, when the input of the sensors under test goes below the maximum setting and is stopped when the input goes below the minimum setting.
The special features such as error indications (with audible output) on wrong thumbwheel settings, invalid input and reserve polarity connection in case of thermocouple input make the instrument safe.
The special Diagnostic software is utilised to check the proper functioning of equipment. One can enter into diagnostic mode with the help of DGNS switch provided at rear panel.
The indication is given on 6 digit display for time and 4 digit display for input on 12.5 mm seven segment Bright RED LEDs.
