Bush Foods Overseas Pvt. Ltd was the first Rice Company in India to be certified for SA 8000 (Social Accountability) but as a part of our ongoing commitment to the environment & society, we did not limit our responsibilities to it and started looking for ways & means to reduce our impact on the climate beyond our patrons requirements or what the law requires.

With this approach in mind, we studied the various impacts of our operations on the climate and it is then when we voluntarily started focusing on highest levels of hygiene standards to reduce the incidence of pests & insects and thereby, reducing the use of Ozone depleting fumigants like methyl bromide.

We have also improved our infrastructure by putting silos to reduce use of wood in our warehouses in the form of wooden pallets but this is not enough as you can not completely eliminate use of pallets. The company is incessantly committed to improve its operations and is striving to find more eco-friendly storage options.
