The automatic self-cleaning type filters are in shape of simplex basket filters having off-set or in-line end connections. The combination of solid & hollow back wash arm is coupled to geared motor at one end and to back wash drain nozzle at the other end. The geared motor rotates the back wash arm & simultaneously the motorized drain valve opens to atmosphere.The retained particles on inside surface of element (wedge wire or wire mesh type) are back washed through back wash arm & are drained out.
