Level Gauges And Switches

"Leveltrol" Reflex Level Gauges allow accurate reading of liquid levels at a glance. These glasses have a prism glass window that uses the basic optical principle of light refraction and reflection to enhance the indication of the liquid level. This lets the level of even colorless liquids be seen without close inspection. When rays of light enters the liquid space behind the groove it is virtually absorbed by the gauge body, so the liquid space behind the reflex glass appears black. Light striking the open space above the liquid level is reflected back to the observer, so that area appears silvery.

The distinct line that separates the dark and silvery areas clearly shows the actual liquid level in the system.

APPLICATIONS:

Leveltrol Model 40K & 41K level gauges are designed for liquid level gauging of fixed or floating roof tanks storing oil, water, solvents and other products where a readout to within 25 mm of liquid level is satisfactory and provides the additional convenience of being able to read out at distance of 100 - 200 feet. The units are designed and constructed to permit simple easy installation on tanks in service or tanks not in service and to provide a maximum of trouble free service. They are highly recommended for applications requiring a low cost, low maintenance method for liquid level gauging.


FEATURES:

• Model 40K & 41K are float operated and have a signal red pointer cradle that runs vertically up and down registering tank contents on a 150 mm Aluminum scale that is mounted outside of the tank for quick convenient readings.
• The stainless steel construction of the float is resistant to the corrosive effect of petroleum products and assures a long dependable use.
• The float cable used to secure the float to the pointer cradle is also of SS 304 construction.
• The scale is of heavy gauge Aluminum construction 150 mm wide having controlled cross section geometry and having 1000 mm unit length.
• The pointer cradle is painted signal red to enhance visibility and has 6 Nylon rollers for friction less gliding on the scale.
• Brackets, Fittings Bolt Nuts necessary for mounting and installation are included with the supply.
• For highly corrosive non-toxic liquids float can be supplied in PP or glass.

"Leveltrol" Model TM-BUV Top Mounted Magnetic Float Switches are used to control distinct levels of a liquid. They are based on the float principle with individual contacts for every level to be monitored.

A magnet that is built into the float actuates through the wall of a guide tube, one or more reed contacts. The switching operation is without direct contact with the liquid, free of wear and tear and does not require any power supply.

Contact denomination always refers to the rising level of the liquid:

• S -closing on rising level
• O-opening on rising level
• U- changeover
• By using one float upto a maximum of two switch points the switching behaviour is bistable.
• Contacts are volt free.

"Leveltrol" Model SM-BUV Side Mounted Magnetic Float Switches operate with reed switches.

These reed contacts are activated by the magnetic field of a permanent magnet in the float without wear, tear or mechanical contact.

The contact functions can be changeover or normally open. The only moving part of the float switch is the float system.
