Artist Profile

Born 1952. Education and experience: Graduated from the Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata, 1974. B. A. from Calcutta University, 1972. Joined Doordarshan Kendra, Kolkata, in 1974 and at present working there as Graphic Superviser. Has produced audio-visual documentaries on art for Doordarshan Kolkata. Exhibitions: Group and solo shows athemould Art Gallery, Kolkata; Central Art Gallery, Kolkata; Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata. Participated in all-India exhibitions of the Lalit Kala Akademi, Academy of Fine Arts, Birla Academy of Art and Culture; "Young Faces in Contemporary Indian Art" organized by the Birla Academy in 1996; joint exhibition of Lalit Kala Kendra and CIMA Gallery, Kolkata, in 2006; Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, 2007; annual exhibition of the Birla Academy in 2008 and 2009 as invited artist.
