Artist Profile

Born 1939. Education and experience: Graduated from the Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata, 1960. French Government scholarship to study at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and Atelier 17, 1965. Ex-Principal, Kala Bhavan, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan. Won many prizes and awards. Founded Gallery 26 Artists' Forum. Founder-member and trustee, Kolkata International Foundation of Arts, Literature and Culture. Exhibitions: 16 solo exhibitions and numerous group exhibitions in India and abroad. Collections: Private and institutional collections all over the world. Studio: (1) 7/96 Sahid Nagar, Kolkata 700 078, India; (2) Ratan Palli, Santiniketan, West Bengal 731 235, India.
