Education and experience: Graduated from the Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata, 1962-63. Passed art appreciation course from Calcutta University in 1967. Exhibitions: First solo exhibition at Artistry House, Kolkata, 1964; 32 one-man shows at New Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. Held a retrospective exhibition in 1998. Participated in annual exhibitions of the Academy of fine Arts, Kolkata, national exhibitions, New Delhi; Birla Academy, Kolkata; AIFACS, New Delhi; Rajya Charukala Parishad, Kolkata; and other group exhibitions in India and abroad.
