Our range of Cathodic Protection (CP) Voltmeter is a revolutionary instrument for measuring DC structure-to-earth potentials of various buried or submerged metallic objects. Powered by an ordinary 9-volt battery, the Model CPV-4 gives an immediate reading in large ½ inch (12.7mm.) liquid crystal display numerals.

The large scale integrated circuit has a built-in filter to reject AC interference. Input resistance of 11 mega ohms (11 million ohms) yields potentiometer quality voltage readings. The digital readout eliminates interpolation of voltages. This small, lightweight instrument requires no warm-up time. Being insensitive to the temperature, it can be read in direct sunlight. Low current CMOS circuitry assures long battery life and the die-cast metal case makes the CPV- 4 a durable instrument for the field.

CP Data Logger (4 Channel) DL-1

 

We introduces high quality the CP Data Logger (4 Channel) DL-1 that is a portable battery operated four-channel data logger capable of measuring DC and AC volts. The small diameter (1-1/2 inches) of the DL-1 allows it to be concealed in the riser of most test stations including the Tinker & Rasor Model T-3 and comes in an environmentally sealed case.

The DL-1 is capable of sample rates from 99 minutes to speeds as fast as 512 times a second, enabling DL-1 to record light rail and telluric events as well as the "new" generation of high speed current interrupters. In most applications, the DL-1 replaces the need for a digital voltmeter, oscilloscope and waveform analyzer.



The TRAC (True Recording and Capture) software runs on Windows® platform PC's for programming configurations and fast downloading of data from the DL-1. The TRAC software displays over 550,000 samples with date and time stamp in a table format and has single click graphing, as well. The data can be saved as a graph or table and may also be exported.


Powerful TRAC (True Recording and capture) software is included with the DL-1. It allows the configuration from a Windows® compatible platform. Easy to use menus enable quick setup or change. A notepad is provided for recording additional information such as test station location. There is a spreadsheet for displaying channel, voltage and time and date data. With this software, data collection can be started and stopped by a pre-programmed time.

TRAC Software Powerful TRAC (True Recording and capture) software is included with the DL-1.

The new Cl-50 Current Interrupter manufactured by our company is shipped ready to use. It is fitted in a heavy duty aluminum case and is designed for rugged field use. The front panel allows access to the sturdy terminal lugs for quick and easy clamping. The Cl-50 has the latest integrated circuitry construction for long life expectancy in field environments.

The Cl-50 Current Interrupter has a timing span range from 5 to 45 seconds in any combination through the continuous range function controls. The operating weight is only 6 pounds (approximately 2 pounds without a battery). The Cl-50 uses a readily available 12 volts battery.

Current Interrupter QC-100AD

We have just launched another great current interrupter. This time, we are proud to announce the release of the Quasar. The Quasar is a solid state current interrupter capable of switching up to 100 amps of current. It uses a GPS receiver to achieve a timing accuracy of +/- 200 nanoseconds. The Quasar will operate for over 12 hours on its internal battery, or indefinitely on external 120 vac or 12 vdc power sources. This highly efficient equipment is easy to program and can hold up to 7 interrupt programs in memory and the programs will run automatically. The user can set the date, time on, time off, and cycle duration and can also operate the unit manually. Using GPS technology, the Quasar always knows Universal Mean Time (Greenwich Mean Time) and with GPS lock, the Quasar will automatically adjust to your time zone, based on longitude.

Soil Resistivity Meter - Tinker & Rasor

Soil Resistivity Meter (Tinker & Rasor) is a highly accurate and easy-to-use soil resistivity meter to be used with the 4-pin wenner or 3-pin fall potential methods of soil resistance measurement. A pin selector switch allows choosing between 2-pin and 4-pin tests without removing cables.

It provides easy resistance readings with a digital 4-1/2 digit display, push-button operation and an easily adjusted Ohm to MOhm range selector. The display will show in the correct range. This instrument multiplies reading with pin spacing multiplier for Ohm-cm. It finds soil resistivity for a variety of cathodic protections applications including pipelines, tanks and wells. Current Supply CS-10

Our Current Supply CS-10 is an ideal DC current source for many cathodic protection corrosion maintenance tests. Weighting only 10 pounds, the CS-10 comes complete with batteries as well as accommodations for connecting to external power source. It is commonly used for determining current requirements for cathodic protection and impressing current on an underground structure. This system provides assistance in locating electrical contacts with foreign systems such as foreign under ground utilities.

The CS-10 is sold complete with (9) batteries, charger, 12 Volt lighter adapter. The instrument also contains one 9 volt alkaline battery with life expectancy of 2 years or more. We also manufacture the instrument case that is considered indestructible and is water resistant.

Polarization Cell

Polarization Cell

Polarization cell protects against induced AC current and ground fault current on buried pipelines. Cells permit low-level voltage of cathodic protection to uniform flow and prevent hazardous voltages. It consists of multiple plates of steel arranged, fixed and immersed in 30% KOH (Potassium Hydroxide) solution. Specially selected oil layer stops the evaporation of solution to some extend. It is advisable to verify the solution level periodically. Polarization cell is fitted in transparent body to check solution level. Normal storage of cell does not have any internal voltage and acts as a grounding switch in presence of high voltage. This cell works on electrochemical principle. Installed plates with large surface area polarize and allow in developing safe DC voltage suitable for cathodic protection. As the voltage increases from DC or AC voltage, the polarization film breaks and polarization cell conducts current. Specially designed, polarization cells have properties to retain solution level to the maximum period with specially added floating oil.


Polarization cells control the flow of potentially dangerous AC and DC current in buried surface protected oil & gas and water pipelines on the buried metallic structures. Grounding cells need to be installed with high precaution of gas ventilation. Improper installation could produce hazardous gases that can cause explosion and harm to the operators. These cells are safe while using as per the rated capacity given in the information section to prevent corrosion.
