 About Us
Cambrian Hall is a residential-cum day, co-educational English Medium School based in the cordial environment of Dehradun. Housing all modern infrastructural facilities in our international standards school, we are certified by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi.
Founded by late Col. Shashi Shumshere J.B. Rana in 1954, we have turned hundreds of school boys and girls into responsible citizens and successful individuals. Today, we have 1700 boys and girls studying in our school. Situated in the scenic cantonment area of Dehradun on a sprawling campus, our school has attached hostels, hospital, etc. We have a huge library with books covering all major subjects and subscribe to leading publications. We have a highly qualified and experienced teachers who believe in both material and moral learning. We serve tasty and nutritious food at our canteens and take care of hygiene throughout the cooking process.

Campus
We have a sprawling campus of with range of in-house facilities. We have two academic blocks, Jodha Block and Doutre Block. Jodha block houses classes 8 to 12 and fully equipped modern laboratories for Computer Science, Chemistry, Biology, Home Sciences. The Doutre Block houses class 3 to 6, art room, Junior Library and a computer Science lab. There is a separate block for class 7.
There is also an Experimental block has Motor mechanics, Open Air Theatre, Dance room and music rooms and the Senior Library. We have a large auditorium that can accommodate almost 1000 students.

Hostel
Our hostel for boarders is called the Shashi Block. The hostel has a modern dining halls and a hygienic kitchens. Students are provided accommodation in dormitories according to the age and house. The Principal, vice-Principal, Bursar, Estate Supervisor, Kitchen in-charges and house masters live in the same campus but in a separate block of quarters. We also have a separate girls hostel for our girl students, in proximity to the Principal's residence.

Games
We totally believe in creating all around development for our students. Sports plays an integral role in the manifestation of a child's character. We arrange for a wide range of games for our students like Hockey, Football, Cricket, Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Badminton, Cross Country, Atheletics, P.T., Gymnastics & Table Tennis.
We also encourage students to come up with new ideas on games that can be introduced in our school.

Adventure
We organize for hikes and excursions for the boarders in the month of September and October. We also sponsor students for Adventure courses in mountaineering at NIM, Uttarkashi. We also send our students for Bioresources courses at Wildlife Institute, Dehradun.

Food
We have modern kitchens and skilled cooks who make delicacies for the our students that have high nutrient value. We serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food and Indian, continental and english cuisines.
Students are provided with fresh fruits, milk and eggs daily. Our diet is nourishing and proportional with all necessary ingredients.
