Filter Presses

Filter Presses

The Filter Press is a solid liquid separation device using the principle of pressure feeding. lt has been used successfully in almost every industrial filtration application for many years. It includes a series of filter plates and frames or recessed plates which are arranged alternately. The filter medium is provided in between the plates. A feeding pump is utilized to force the liquid through the medium leaving the solid trapped inside. Compared to other pressure filters the filter press holds more solids per square feet of filtering surface area than any other. A closer is required which will be manual operated. The closer containing a controlling a follower plate presses the plates together, creating a sealed unit. The filter press is typically less costly to install than compared to rotary drum vacuum filters, belt presses or centrifuges. It is significantly less expensive and easier to maintain and operate then the other three, and service life has been proven time and time again to be much longer.

Filter Press designed in such a way to give maximum filtration efficiency and less maintenance throughout its service life. We built a solid reputation in the market from our designing of filter press which quickly and efficiently does the filtration.

Phytorid Technology Systems

Phytorid Technology Systems

Phytorid Technology Systems - Approved by NEERI. Mechanism Involved In Phytorid Technology. Various physical, chemical and biological mechanisms that play a part in the waste water treatment within a Phytorid Technology system.

The principle mechanisms are outil ined as follows:

Salient Features:

  • The system comprises of a sequence of three independent cells
  • Primary Settling Cell (PSC) for the purpose of anaerobic pretreatment of suspended solids
  • Secondary Advanced Filter Cell (SAFC) that supports a permutation of different sizes of stones and gravel wherein anaerobic digestion occurs.
  • Tertiary Biological Wetland Cell (TBWC) made up of different layers of life supporting media such as those used in SAFC and planted with aquatic flora such as Typha, Scirpus, Cyperus,Peltandra and Phragmites

Advantages:

Phytorid Technology is a cost-effective and technically simple approach to treat waste water:

  • Technology is less expensive to build than other treatment options
  • Operation and maintenance expenses (energy and supplies) are negligible requiring only harvesting.
  • Systems are able to tolerate fluctuations in flow.
  • They facilitate water reuse and recycling.
  • They provide habitat for many wetland organisms.
  • This is also more desirable in areas with high water table to avoid any contamination of ground water through soak pit.
  • It can be applied for preservation of natural watercourses such as lakes, rivers and marine ecosystem.
  • It can be easily integrated into the natural topography.

Applications:

  • Municipal Waste Water
  • Domestic Waste Water
  • Agricultural Waste Water
  • Coalmine Drainage
  • Petroleum Refinery Waste
  • Composite & Landfill Leachates
  • Fishpond Discharges
  • Pretreated Industrial waste water from
  • Paper and Pulp Mills
  • Textile Mills
  • Seafood Processing
