Water Softening Plants

Cenco Water Softening Plants are widely used to produce soft water in the small and medium scale industries. It utilizes the proven technology of the flow of water in the upward direction, for complete resin contact with raw water. It also utilizes the strongly acidic cation exchanger in sodium form. The sodium ions are exchanged for calcium and magnesium ions, which cull out hardness from the water, making it soft. After exhaustion, the resin is regenerated using a sodium solution. Finally, the technique of counter-flow regeneration is used to produce water of low residual hardness. Residual hardness achieved is “Commercial Zero Hardness” or less than 5ppm as CaCO₃.
