D'Gassers
D'Gassers
It is a degassing technique by using perfectly compressed tablets of chemical powder (mainly Hexachloropethane). This compaction is very important to control the rate of dissolution of tablet which ultimately leads to proper release of chlorine gas required for degassing of Aluminium molten metal.

Product Feature:
  • Compressed tablets of 50 gms , 250 gms & 500 gms for treatment of any size of melt
  • Pure degassing & degassing cum grain refining tablets are available.
  • Chlorine gas is evolved only after decomposition of tablet in the melt so there is no question of hazardous free chlorine while in storage.
Applications:For efficient results by this method following care should be taken
  • Suitable bell or box shape plunger with sufficient holes & length of handle; as per requirement should be procured.
  • Plunger should be pre-heated
  • DEGASSER should be used for metal which has been brought to its maximum temperature & where the temperature is falling.
  • Tablet should be immersed deeply through out the melt by constant movement of plunger, till it gets dissolved completely.
Application to Rate: Normally 0.1 tp 0.2 % by weight of molten metal for all grades of Aluminium.

Ceral Ladle
Ceral Ladle is a refractory product, which is basically used for molten metal transfer. Ladles enable molten aluminium to be held at temperature for extended periods, keeping metal clean.

Fluxes
Fluxes
A range of Powder Fluxes required in aluminium melting for covering, protecting & cleaning the molten metal.

Application Rate:
  • For Crucible Furnaces: 0.5 - 1 % of metal charge. (Higher percent addition is recommended for loose & uncleaned scrap).
  • For Reverberatory Furnaces: 125 - 150 gms per sq., Ft of liquid pool area.
Method of Application:
  • Take requisite quantity of flux as recommended above..
  • It is most important to keep the cover of the flux intact on the melt throughout the melting practice. For this it is advisable to use the CERAFLUX in two/three stages
  • For CERAFLUX - 29 and 36 (modifying fluxes) melting practice is as follows: Melt the charge by using CERAFLUX - 11 then do the degassing & skimming at required temperature & then add modifying flux evenly on the metal surface. Allow to melt & then mix it for three minutes.Then keep the melt holding for further five minutes. Reach upto the pouring temperature. Dross of with CERAFLUX - 11 & then metal is ready for pouring.
