Product ApplicationIn a backfilled wall application the Voltex / Voltex DS can
- Be mechanically fastened with nails to the concrete wall after it is already in place or
- The membrane can be hung inside the shuttering before concrete placement allowing the concrete to encapsulate the geotextile fibers of the Voltex / Voltex DS forming a tenacious bond between the wall and the waterproofing system.
With either method, there is no need for surface primers, adhesives, seam welding or protection courses thus saving time and money when compared to traditional sheet membranes and crystalline systems. With their easy installation, natural self-sealing / self-healing properties and factory controlled quality, Voltex and Voltex DS are the most effective waterproofing systems available for your backfilled walls.
Voltex and Voltex DS are recommended on backfilled walls with uniform backfill compaction of at least 85% modified proctor density. Refer to applicable product installation manual for detailed installation instructions.
