NEWSCFD workshop during annual event "Radiance - 2011", power by ANSYS Inc. in association with CCTech. [18-FEB-11] ANSYS Inc., CCTech and IIT Bombay had came together to organize a day workshop on Computational Fluid Dynamics during India's largest annual mechanical festival - Radiance 2011. This workshop is powered by ANSYS Inc. by providing licenses to all participants. CCTech's executives would be conducting this workshop with focus on fundamental and hands on sessions on ANSYS ICEM-CFD and ANSYS FLUENT.
About Radiance:
Every year, MEA (Mechanical Engineering Association - IIT Bombay) organizes RADIANCE - An annual event, which aims to provide a platform for coming together, binding and exchange of thoughts among different engineering communities related to Mechanical Engineering. It is envisaged to act as a bridge between industry and academia. It aims to bring them on a common platform, encouraging exchange of ideas and providing opportunities for technical interactions.
About Workshop:
Over the last few decades, CFD has reached to new heights and becoming more and more extensively used virtual simulation technique. Almost all design companies are using these tools directly or indirectly in their design activities. Wide range of applications in vast engineering domains makes CFD tools a compulsory choice for innovators, designers and analysis engineers.
Today is the best day for all engineering graduates to cater to the opportunities in the CAE field. Lack of awareness restricts students to explore these horizons. Being a CFD engineer, one needs to have a good understanding of physics and expertise on CFD software packages used in the industry. The knowledge of fluid flow and heat transfer given at undergraduate level are the foundation stones for further studies and career in CFD.
One day CFD workshop, powered by world’s leading CAE software provider ANSYS Inc. in association with CCTech, is organized to make undergraduate students aware of one of the most challenging and growing field – CFD. A day workshop is organized to introduce CFD, underlying fundamental principles and wide range of its industrial applications. The workshop will also introduce most widely used and popular CFD tool ANSYS FLUENT and ANSYS ICEM-CFD provided by ANSYS Inc. With vast capabilities available in ANSYS FLUENT, one can solve almost any engineering problem involving physics of fluid and heat transfer. It’s the limitation of user knowledge and expertise which restricts one to imagine application of CFD. The workshop would also overview the vast capabilities available in ANSYS FLUENT and what kind of problems one can solver using world’s one of the best CFD software. Participants would get a chance to solve fluid mechanics or heat transfer problem during the workshop using what is popularly known as “Virtual Wind Tunnel – A CFD Software” using their own laptop. At the end of workshop, participants would get a chance to interact with CFD professionals from industry and discuss feasibility of doing their academic projects using CFD tools.
