The Chandra Group was founded by Late Shri Seth Shivcharanlalji. Being a great visionary, he set out to explore the potential of Bangalore city in early 1918 and launched his very first venture Bombay Chandra Bhavan (Hotel / Restaurant) in 1932. And hence commenced a journey of many more such successful ventures like Chandra Bhavan (Hotel/ Restaurant) in1959 and Hotel Chandra Vihar in 1969 alongside his brothers and eldest son Late Shri S. Purshotamdas.
In due course, Late Shri S. Purshotamdas was joined by his two brothers Shri Chandra Prakash and Shri Anil Kumar, on the road of expansion. Staunch believers of "Commitment, Quality and Customer Satisfaction", they diversified into other fields which included Cement distribution, retail and wholesale of Bath fittings, CP fittings, Paints, Building & Furniture Hardware, Luminaires & Modular Kitchens.
Bestowed with the same vision and abiding by the set principles, the present generation is taking the legacy further and one such enterprise is NIELL.
