About UsThe company was incorporated on Sept.29.1995 vide ROC Registration No.01-21888 as closely held company in the name of Chemcel Products Limited, with the main objective of manufacturing of Agro Chemicals. Later on it started producing bio-fertilisers and bio-pesticides also. In order to reflect this activity, the company changed its name as Chemcel Biotech Limited, with effect from January 04, 2001.
The company has been promoted by Sri.K.Bala Krishna Rao, Sri K.T.Vijay Kumar and Sri KCS Prasad. All these promoters have earlier worked with some of the leading agrochemicals/pesticides manufacturing companies in various capacities and have rich experience in this industry.
The company’s Registered office and factory are located at Tata Industrial estate,Kanuru,
Vijayawada, their own premises. The total area of the plot of land is about 1849.02 sq.yards. It has two RCC buildings with 3 floors in each building constructed on the plot. The company has all the necessary plant and machinery and other infrastructure to attain a turnover of Rs.60.00 Crores.
Sri.Balakrishna Rao is the Chairman of this company ever since its inception. He had his post graduation in Business Management. He started his career with Mysore Fertilisers and worked for more than 20 years and occupied several key posts ranging from Finance to Marketing. Later, he joined Coromandel Indag group and was in-charge of Agro chemicals division for Andhra Pradesh. He continued to work there for almost 10 years and resigned from the job in 1994 to start his own unit. During the tenure of his service he handled the production of Agro-Chemical Formulations and the marketing of Fertilisers and pesticides in the entire Andhra Pradesh.
Sri.K.T.Vijay Kumar, the Managing Director of this company, is a graduate in Commerce and worked with M/s.Rallis India Limited in different capacities for a period of 22 years. He was the in-charge of all the marketing activities in Costal Andhra Pradesh and was directly responsible for sales. During his tenure, the turnover increased multifold. He was instrumental in taking up turnover of Rallis India Ltd from about Rs.2.00 Crores to more than 100.00 Crores in coastal Andhra region in a period of about ten years. His contacts are very wide and deep-rooted with the retail network in Andhra Pradesh. He is now associated in direct operations as the Managing Director and looks after entire marketing operations.
Sri. K.C.S.Prasad, Director (Production) of this company, is a postgraduate with a PG Diploma in Personnel Management. Since inception of this organization, he is in operations mainly concerned to production and procurement besides General Administration. He has an all round experience in this industry. Prior to his induction in the Board, he worked as a marketing person in M/s. Lupin Agro Chemicals (India) Limited. |
