Mica Tape for fire survival wires & cables is made of mica paper (Phlogopite or Muscovite) and reinforced with fiber glass cloth with a small amount of heat resistant Silicon binder. The tapes have excellent flexibility, high tensile strength and long length. It survives temperature up to 1000°C. It is non-toxic, chemically neutral and 100% Halogen free. Their applications are:

• Control and power cables
• Signaling and instrumentation cables

It is made of Muscovite mica paper impregnated with Modified novolac epoxy resin (F-class tape) or Modified Silicon varnish (H-class tape) & bonded with various reinforcement materials like Fiber Glass cloth, polyester film, Polyimide film. When resin rich mica tape is subjected to heat & pressure, the resin flows & cures to make void free insulation.

It is developed for Vacuum pressure impregnation of electric motors, it contain small amount of resin and has excellent resin impregnation ability and is bonded with various supporting material on one side or both side with Glass cloth & polyester film in order to meet the requirement of modern taping machine. It is suitable for hand or machine taping of coil and bars of high voltage rotating machines. Resin poor Mica tape is available with accelerator and without accelerator.

Based on PET fabric it provides protection against the corona effect in HV machines with conductive and semi-conductive tapes. These tapes can be used for conductor stacks, within the slot and at the end of the slot.

Semi-conducting Nylon tape is made up of Nylon fabric and semi conducting material. It is used as seperating and binding material for power cable
