The Ciess Group companies manufacture and market speciality chemicals and textile auxiliaries and have a strong nation wide presence. The group consists of Ciess Texaux speciality chemicals Pvt. Ltd., Esskay Enterprise and Auxitex.

Ciess Group was founded by the late Mr. S.M. Mehta in the early 1970s. He had a rich experience in marketing of textile dyes and chemicals and had started his career with M/s. Amrutlal Chemaux Ltd. and then M/s. Hoechst Dyes & Chemicals Ltd. Mr. S.M. Mehta was very innovative and introduced many breakthrough products for textile processing. Many products are still known today by his trade names rather than their generic names.

Mr. Chetan S. Mehta, son of late Mr. S.M. Mehta joined the family business in 1973 and is now the MD of the group. He is a science graduate with a major in Chemistry.

The group has well-knit marketing arrangements throughout India. Mumbai and international sales are handled directly by the company's marketing department.
