Operation

The whole unit consist of :

• One electrical motor
• One worm reduction gear
• Belt drive between motor and gear
• Couple drive between gear to ( ribbon ) mixing stirrer
• Container having four nos. of legs with discharge valve & top cover.
• Both ends of mixing shaft is sealed with bush & PTFE gland housing & safety guards are provided on all moving parts

 

Ports are provided on the top cover in order to charge the material from the top side. Moreover, the discharge valve is provided at the bottom side at the center of the container and the discharge height can be adjusted as per requirement of the customer. This helps the material to be discharged in the another container directly which further reduces the handling time for discharge and the whole operation is dust free.

 

In ribbon blender the powder moves continuously from center to the end of the container and end to the center of the container. Thus, the total mixing time is very less and the RPM required is also very low.

Our offered range of Fluid Bed Dryer (01 to 10 Kgs.) is manufactures using high quality basic material. These are specially designed to introduce hot air stream on the base of product container. Blower is used to induce draught and thereafter fresh air is sucked in to the unit. This fresh air is further heated by electric heaters, steam or thermic fluid heaters and expands the bed of material at certain velocity which creates turbulence in the product. The whole process is called fluidisation that provides ideal conditions for drying and produces full agitation of solid particles. As each particle gets surrounded by hot air, therefore the heat transfer becomes extremely high and uniform.

 

Furthermore, our range of fluid bed dryer is widely being used by our clients owing to following benefits:

• The product is dried fast without appreciable loss of heat
• Filter bags provided, prevents escaping of particles from the dryer
• The fluid bed dryer occupies lesser floor space and can dry material in less time as compared to tray dryer

• Temperature distribution through out the product is uniform and the heat transfer rate is very high which increases production rates
• Due to the continuous movement of products during drying lump formation, case hardening is minimized

Suitability

In our range of fluid bed dryer, the product is in close contact with drying air for short duration as well at low temperature. Due to this, the physical and chemical properties of the products remains unaffected and therefore the dryer can be effectively used for heat sensitive products. Other than this, the dryer is suitably used for drying granular, crystalline, coarse and similar material in pharmaceuticals. Besides, the dryer is also used for fine chemicals, dyes, food and allied products.

 

Note: The Fluid Bed Dryer is not suitable for drying liquids or pasty materials.
