We are also engaged in manufacturing & supplying of drive tensioners. We offer wide ranges of drive tensioners which are provided with digital readout and load cell sensing. These drive tensioner are fabricated by using graded cold rolled and stainless steel, these are widely demanded by our clients for their features of sturdiness, corrosion resistance and better durability standards. And we offer these drive tensioners at very cost effective prices also.

Drive Tensioner

We offer our clients a high quality range of engineering equipment, such as Drive Tensioner. These are designed to operate in all directions while adjusting easily as tension requirements tend to change. This gives these an advantage over the conventional belts and chains systems. A tensioned drive runs within the system in a smooth and quiet manner to ensure maximum horsepower, and longer work life.

Some of the key advantages of these Drive Tension Products are:

  • Low cost take-up for chain and belt drives
  • Idler shafts are compatible with all models
  • Idler shafts are hardened and ground for maximum idler life
  • Serrated pad is provided for positive locking
  • Slot in base provides precision tensioning as well as additional vertical movement
  • Rotating arm action for greater adjustment
  • Idler shafts are shouldered and threaded into units are locked with set screw to insure maximum rigidity
  • DA Series - full 360° positioning
  • At series - Automatic tensioning
  • VA series - Adjusting and positioning
  • Mectron Tensioners and Positioners are painted and mounting bolts plated to ensure maximum rust protection
  • TT series - Screw adjustment and positive locking
  • Idler - Both needle bearings and bronze bushed, ball bearings
  • Useful for single and multiple width drive

Tips On Idler Usage

  • Tensioning that is too tight causes excessive chain, belt and bearing wear
  • Tensioning that is too loose allows belt slippage or chain vibration, causing wear or loss of horsepower
  • The M.D.T. flanged flat face idler pulley can be run inside or outside of belt drives, and will produce no additional wear on the sides of Vee belts
  • Chain idlers should be run outside the chain
  • Idler sprockets should have at least 3 teeth engaged with the chain
  • Idlers to be located on the slack side of the drive
  • The use of idlers on the back of Vee belts causes reverse bend, and can reduce the life of the belt. However, when inside idlers are used, the arc of contact is reduced and allowance must be made for horsepower loss
  • Idlers, when are used outside the drive, must be located approximately 1/3 of the center distance from small pulley or sprocket
  • Idlers, when are used inside the drive, should be located approximately 1/3 of the center distance from the large pulley or the sprocket
