common threads is a socially compliant ready made garments production unit based in bangalore specializing in the manufacture of woven bottoms such as chinos and cargoes in a variety of fabrics for both the indian domestic and export market common threads has received accolades from within india and abroad for its quality and strict adherence to on time deliveries. Within a year of starting operations in bangalore we can now boast of healthy clientele base. We have already executed orders for the likes of debenhams, topshop and tom wolffe in the u. K , fubu and phatfarm in the usa and roadsign in france. For sso9 n we have sampled extensively for the likes of mackays and heatons in the u. K and for roadsign in france. Socially compliant enterprise we go to great lengths to ensure that our employees have a pleasant work environment not because we have to do it but because we want to do it. ¿ all employees are offered a bus pick up and drop facility. We operate four company owned buses to transport employees. ¿ all employees are guaranteed their salary on the 7th of every month. ¿ we provide mineral drinking water to each and every employee ¿ 16 clean toilets with running water are provided to the employees. All toilets are cleaned four times a day by the house keeping department. ¿ esi and p. F are paid to every employee as per government regulations. Stake holders michael piers ¿ managing partner michael graduated with a first class in mechanical engineering from bangalore university in 1991 and has worked in various capacities in business development and marketing in india, singapore, australia and most recently in bangladesh where he was part of a successful garment export business. Smitha zachariah piers - partner smitha graduated from srishti school of design in bangalore in 2000 and went on to further specialize in textile design at rmit in melbourne. She has since worked for the likes of tommy hilfiger and gokaldas images where her designs were bought by the likes of saks 5th avenue in new york, j jill in the usa and tom tailor to name but a few. We recognize the need to offer clients the option to ideate with us. To facilitate this we are in the process of setting up a ¿design & product development¿ team headed by smitha which will offer clients the option to outsource not just the product but the design too. Installed machinery we currently operate 258 machines spread out on 4 different floors for sewing and one floor for finishing and packing. The cutting section has three cutting tables of 32 feet length. We can cut approximately 4000 pieces per day of a basic five pocket style. We have installed 155kv diesel generator, with an acoustic enclosure, to run the factory should there be a disruption in the regular power supply during working hours.
