Neem cake is used in bulk quantity for pest control. Neem cake is a organic fertilizer with pesticidal properties. Neem cake is the residue obtained after extraction of neem oil from neem seeds. It is an excellent organic fertiliser, combining NPK, micronutrients with pesticidal action. With its high nitrogen contentof 5% and azadirachtin content of 700ppm, it is an ideal companion for all organic farmers, especially effective against soil-borne pests such as nematodes. Specifications: Azadirachtin - 700 ppm Oil content - 6% Nitrogen - 5% P - 0.80% Also contains micronutrients,Fe,Cu,S,Na Zn.( Being a natural product, there will be variations in ingredient levels.) Dosage: 200 kgs to 300 kgs per hectare 1 kg for plots of 15 sq. mts 150 to 300 lbs per acre 2 lb for plots of 150 sq.ft Comorin Neem Cake as an organic fertiliser: It is an excellent organic fertiliser combining basic NPK & micronutrients. It has a 6% oil content which ensures pesticidal action against soil borne pests. It promotes growth of beneficial fungi such as trichoderma. The effect & economics of using neem cake with one or more than one fertiliser have been studied & found that there is a 20-25% urea / nitrogen saving coupled with improved yields. The seed residue after oil extraction, pungam cake is a good organic fertiliser rich in NPK and micronutrients.
