Bikaner Ceramics Pvt. Ltd. is one of the first industrial units in Bikaner. It was founded by Seth Girdhar Das Ji Mundhra in the year 1966. It originally produced china clay pots and fine crockery. Today, after almost 35 years of transition, it produces world class Porcelain Insulators with internationally recognized ISO 9001 certification.
Bikaner Ceramics is a reckoning force in the Insulator world, with high quality products and competitive pricing. Under the able guidance of Shri Jagmohan Das Ji Mundhra, it was able to break the previous monopoly of a few industries in production of insulators used in telephones/telegraph and low/high tension power transmission lines.
Today it is a major producer of all kinds of insulators (up to 36kV) that are required by the State Electricity Boards, Railways and the Department of Telecommunications all over the country. It also manufactures all types of hollow porcelain insulators for use in lightening arresters, SF-6 Breakers, Transformers, HT Capacitors etc.
Bikaner Ceramics insulators are rigorously tested to ensure compliance with ISI and other international standards. It is one of the first industrial units in Bikaner to be accredited with ISO 9001 in recognition for quality products, solid marketing and overall excellence of operations and administration.
The Bikaner Ceramics team strives to maintain this model of virtue with regular ISO inspections and standard quality control procedures implemented at the process level. Bikaner Ceramics has come a long way from fine crockery to world-class insulators under the vision of Shri Girdhar Das Mundhra and steering of late Shri Jagmohan Das Mundhra.
