RML's employees are its most valuable asset & are well nurtured & cared for. The Company provides accomodation to all its employees near the work site. Electricity & water are provided free and soft loans for housing are made available.

 

Preventive & curative primary health assistance is provided to all employees either by dispensaries or through mobile medical vans. For further treatment, the company finances the referral of patients to specialised hospitals.

 

Regular film shows, cultural programs & sports events are sponsored for recreation. The company also contributes heavily to the Indian Red Cross Society and UNICEF, maintains road linkages around mining areas and contributes to upliftment of society through regular literacy campaigns & vocational training by running schools & colleges at Chaibasa, Keonjhar, Koira and Barbil. It also provides scholarships and incentives to female children & supports health care guidance

 

RML emphasises on maintaining a harmonious balance between environment & mining by complying with all applicable laws, regulations & executive orders, & participates in afforestation around the mines, & minimises wastage & believes in recycling.
