The name of the Firm has its origin with the name of Late Shri J. T. Trivedi, who had commenced practices in the field of Intellectual Property in the State of Gujarat, in the year 1942. Rather, Late Shri J. T. Trivedi had been the pioneer and the first practitioner, in the field of Intellectual Property in the State of Gujarat. Late Shri J. T. Trivedi had established his own concern, viz., J. T. Trivedi, in the year 1958. In deed, it is significant and note worthy fact that during his tenure, Late Shri J. T. Trivedi had more than 60% clientage of Gujarat, consisting of Industries, Merchants etc.

The said Firm had been re-named or converted into M/S. J. T. TRIVEDI & ASSOCIATES, in the year 1985. M/s. J. T. Trivedi & Associates deals with : -

Of course, mostly, our practice relates to (a) Trade Marks (b) Designs (c) Copyright and (d) Patent. We are also dealing with Civil as well as Criminal litigations relating to these matters. As per the New Trade Marks Act, 1999, the facility can be availed of with respect to Service Marks, and due to the new change in the Act, it gives different scenario as well as legal position to the clients. Secondly, by the said Act, the Service Mark could be handled as well as cared during litigation, under the Law of Tort or Common Law.
