Windsor has other organizational flagship group companies that include vip industries, blow plast and hinoday industries etc. The company set up operations at thane (near mumbai) in 1964 under collaboration with r. h. windsor of u.k. in 1984, klockner-werke of germany made the company a part of its worldwide operations and renamed it klockner windsor india limited. Subsequent to the disinvestment of equity by klockner to mr. dilip g. piramal in 1994, the company acquired the status of being member of one of india''s largest business houses, the dgp group and was initially named as dgp windsor india limited, since year 2005 been renamed as windsor machines limited. As a part of the continuous efforts in the development of technology towards world class standards, we have established strategical technology alliances with, currently, it have a global installation base of over 14,000 machines. These installations are spread over several countries in africa, the middle east, cis, south east asia and the far east. Windsor acquired a significant market alone of 60% in the lyrically competitive indian market. It plan to make further forays into the international market while maintaining the leadership status in the domestic market. Installations are spread with the goal that in the next three years, exports should constitute more than 50% of sales (up from 35% - 39% currently).
