Bharath Sea Foods,(BSF) Chandiroor is a company of repute owned by Mr. A.M.Moosa,a pioneer in the field of sea food business in Kerala. He has rich experience in the international trade and domestic trade. He is keen interested in socio economic development of his dependent,his employees and people at large. He has started BSF in 1969 to export sea foods in international market. Their main objective includes export of frozen marine products such as shrimps, cuttlefish,squid,fish,octopus and crab to Japan, U.S.A,E.E.C,Canada,Turkey,U.A.E.,Gulf,Korea, China and S.E Asia. At present BSF has two plants fully operational at Chandiroor with combined capacity of 25 MT per D of block freezing and 9 MT per D of Tunnel freezing,Ice Plant,pre-processing centeres and insulated vehicles. There is new movement for installation of 5 MT per D plant in an area of 11000 Sqft., which will have state of art technology installed in confirmation with approved European Union(E.U.)norms and the sanitation control procedures as mandated by the US Food and Drugs Administrations HACCP.(Hazards Analysis Critical Control Point). The processing of seafood will be carried out under hygienic condition by experts and controlled and regulated by MPEDA and the EIA. BSFs present project is to set up a most modern plant,in compliance with the EU guidelines.
