Mysore Sugandhi Dhoop Factory was born as a firm back in 1934 and was one of the premier and premium manufacturers of agarbatti & dhoop (Indian incense) in undivided India, where the founder of the company Late Mr. Khiaram Luthria had sown the seeds of this huge tree.
Its status was changed to a private limited company in 1972, registered under the Companies Act, 1956. The company began with six employees and today has over hundred employees, with its head office in Mumbai and production center in Bangalore.
This 63-year old company stands firm as a pioneer in the export market, being the first exporters of agarbatti from India. The company has won export awards since 1972 to 1981 successively and reached its zenith in quality production by bagging the "Trishul Award". The company exports 100% of its production since 1990-91.
We have over 30 brands to our credit, the popular brands being 999 Lord Krishna Puja, Three Roses, Garden of Eden, Laxmi Dhoop, Endi ( 7 in 1) etc., to name a few. These agarbattis (Indian incense) stand apart from other brands in quality and perfume (fragrance), the latter being different as Mysore Sugandhi blends its own perfumes which they call daily inventions. Other companies seek a short cut by using readymade perfumes available in the market. The sticks are still hand-rolled traditionally by skilled fingers - the technique and trained hands of generations of our workers play a vital role. We have over twenty fragrances available under different brands and packing, many of them which have stood the test of time is our motto - quality is forever.
We are constantly improving our products as per the changing demands of our consumers world wide and moving towards international standards of eco-friendly, recyclable packaging and bar-coding, etc.
