DIGITAL CROSS CONNECT EQUIPMENT (DCC

The Digital Cross Connect (DCC) is a transmission equipment used in synchronized digital network to cross connect nx64 kbps channels between 2048 kbps access ports. The system has a capacity of 128 E1 ports upgradable to 512 without causing disruption to existing traffic carrying cross connect circuits. DCC can realize unidirectional, bidirectional broadcast, cross connection at 64 kbps, nx64 kbps, CAS ABCD bits and National spare bits. DCC supports exhaustive online and offline maintenance capabilities using loop back, test access at 64 kbps/ 2 Mbps and standard test signals insertion / monitoring. The equipment can be controlled from local as well as remote stations through powerful command set of Man Machine Interface (MMI) running on PC platform under Windows 95/ NT environment.

HIGH BIT RATE DIGITAL SUBSCRIBER LINE EQUIPMENT (HDSL)

The High bit rate Digital Subscriber Line (HDSL) is a simultaneous full duplex transmission Scheme which derives substantial capacity advantage in transporting digital signal in the Local Networks over existing copper pairs. This equipment provides 64 kbps Channels, supporting Voice, Fax and Data services while matching fiber quality transmission performance. A complete HDSL System consists of two terminal equipment called central office Terminal (COT) and 2/3 nos. of Remote Terminals (RT) connected by 2/3 pairs of wire.
The A2 /B2 category supports point-to-multi point transportation of 30 channels of 2W POTs, Hotlines and 64 kbps Co directional circuits. Category A2 utilizes a two pairs duplex operating system transporting at a bit rate of 1168 kbps bi-directionally over each of the two pairs in parallel while category B2 utilizes a three pairs duplex operating system with a reduced bit rate of 784 kbps transported bi-directionally over each of the three pairs in parallel. These equipments cover around 3.5/3.75 kms on 0.5 mm unshielded twisted copper pairs.

The 8/34 Mbps Digital MUX (FM-34) Equipment combines upto four 8448 kbps plesiochronous tributaries inputs into a single 34368 kbps output. Five terminals of FM-34 can be housed in a single slim rack. The multiplexing is carried out using a process of positive justification and cyclic bit interleaving. Using a bit disinterleaving process, the demultiplexer separates the 34368 kbps input into four signals, A dejustification process convert these to 8448 kbps signals.

OPTICAL LINE TERMINATING EQUIPMENT (OLTE)

8 Mbps Optical Line Terminal Equipment is designed to be used in optical fibre network. The equipment works on single mode optical fibre at 1310 nm wavelength. This equipment shall have input signal from HDB3 coded 8448 kbps digital bit stream as per CCITT recommendation G.703. This digital signal is then converted into optical signal by LASER Diode and then transmits it through optical fibre.In receive direction, the optical signal is converted to digital signal using PIN FET. The output signal is HDB3 coded 8448 kbps digital bit stream.

PRIMARY PCM SYSTEM (PFM - 2)

The PCM-MUX Equipment processes up to 30 telephone signals (voice & Signalling) in both directions. In the transmit direction, the voice and signalling information are encoded and combined to form a TDM digital signal with 2048 Mbps rate. In the receive direction, the reverse procedure takes place and the equipment extracts the voice and signalling information 2048 kbps. A common E & M card facilitates 2w/4w operations.
