This device was devoloped by U.S. Bureau of Public Roads and is used to measure deflection of flexible pavements. The light weight instrument is supplied in two parts for assembling on site with easy hand tools.In use one end of the beam rests at a point under investigation while the beam is pivoted at the center. The free end carries a dial gauge to record the deflections. The other end is kept on a stable plateform . The beam ratio is 2:1 which nagnifies even small deflections. Supplied with a dial guage 0.01x25mm. This is a light weight dismantleable instrument and easy to carry.

This is a brass tube approximately 53cm long and 2.8cm I.D. with a wooden handle. Total length aproximately 73cm. The tube has the sharp angular with conveniently pierces cement bags. An air hole of approximately 3mm dia is drilled on the tube near handle. Total sample collected at one time is 300cm 3 approximatedly.

For determining the Liquid Limit of soils. This is specially useful to obtain reliable and accurate results for those soils which have low plasticity index. The percentage moisture contents determined when cone with half angle of 15-30 minutes under a total sliding weight of 148 gm penetrates 25 mm gives the Liquid Limit.

Suitable to cut/drill cores of Concrete, Rocks, Stones, Tiles or the similar material. The machine is suitable for core samples of size upto 150mm diameter with the help of thin walled Diamonds Bits which are extra cost.The machine has sturdy base with pillar support in which rack and pinion is provided for adjustments in height and penetration assembly.The levelling screws are provided at the base. In flexibel pavement construction, bitumen binders are used. It is important that bitumenous meterial forms ductile thin film around the aggreates, which serves as a binder.The binder meterialnot of sufficient ductility renderspervious pavement surface and leads to devolopment of cracks. Therefore it is important to carry out the ductility tests on betumenus meterial. Ductility is defined as distance in cms to which a standard briquette to bitument can be streched before the thread breaks. The briquette is streched at a rate of 50mm/minute +/-2.5 mm per minute at a temprature of 27 degree celcious +/-0.5 degree celcious.
Specifications : The appratus consists of a water bath with a thermostatic heater, and a circulating pump to mantain uniform water temprature.One half of the briquette mouldsis fixed on a fixed palate in the water bath, the other half of the briquette mould is fixed to a carrier which slides over a rotating thread shaft with a cluch. The motor or gears to rotate the shaft are housed in a cabinet fixed above the other end of the bath. A pointer fixed to the carrier moves over a scale graduated to 0 - 110cm x 1mm fixed on the bath with "0"(zero) of the scale towards the fixed plate slide. The rotating shaft has 2 speeds of travel for the bracket,5 cm/min.and1cm/min.,
selected by a cluch. Water bath is provided with a drain. A heater with thermostatic control is fixed inside the water bath. The appratus is used to determine softening point of bitumen.Ring and ball appratus is used to determine softening point. It is that temprature at which a sample of bitumenous material loadede by a 9.5mm dia-steel ball, drops at the distance of 25mm.
Specifications : The appratus consists of steel braket with a sliding plate supporrt. That supports has two holes of 10mm dia on which a Ring and Ball guide can be kept.A centeral hole on this plate is for inserting thermometer.Supplied with a glass beaker approximate 8.5c.m. I.D., 12 cm high and a hand stirrer and nos. 9.5mm dia steel balls.

Rock/Concrete/Mansonary, saw cutting machine can be used to cut Rock Cores. Concrete Cores,Stones, Building materials and metallic specimens.A smooth finish cut can be made with the machine in either wet or dry operation according to the nature of the specimen(cutters are at extra cost). The specimen cutting machine is designed to cut upto 200mm (specially the size of deep cut required in the specimen) deep cut in the concrete, Stones, Tiles, Soft rocks and Hard rocks or any other similar material. Specimen cutting machine is supplied complete fitted on a steel table, vice is fitted to hold the specimen. A guard is provided for the Diamond Cutting Wheel. A machine is operated by an enclosed type of fan cooled motor through the geared head drive.
The speed of cutting wheel is approximate 2100 to 2200 r.p.m. or in accordance with the revolution specified on the perticular cutteing wheel. The machine is fitted with water supply pump for cooling the specimen & cutter during cutting operation. A machine is suitable for operation on 440 Volts A.C. mains, 3 phase. In machine arrangements are provided to move the sample , fitted on vice, lengtheise & breadth wise.

Shrinkage limit is the maximum water content at which a reduction in water content does not cause an appreciable reduction in volume of the soil mass. At shrinkage limit, on further reduction in water, air enters into the voids of soils and thus keeps the volume constant.
The apparatus can be used to determine shrinkage limit and to calculate other shrinkage factors like shrinkage ratio, shrinkage index and volumetric shrinkage.

Used to determine grade of bitumen. The penetration tests determinconsistency of bitumen for the purpose of grading. Depth is units 1/10 of millimeter to which a standered needel having a standered weight will penetrate vertically in a duration of five seconds at a temprature of 25 degree celcious determines penetration of gradation.
Specifications : It consists of a vertical pillar mounted on a base provided with levelling screws. The head, together with dial plunger rod and cone (or needel) slides on a pillar and can be clamped at any desired height. A rack and pinion and pointer assembel provides fine adjustment of needel or cone tip to sample. It incorporates a cluch mechanisum which makes reading of penetration and subsequent resetting a simple and accurate operation. The dial is graduated in 400 1/10 and the millimeter subdivision and the needle pointer against figures makes easy reading. Supplied with a bitumen penetration needle, ring weight one each 50 gms, and two sample containers.
Accessories : Penetration cone for empirical estimation of penetratioon of lubricating grease, petroleum jelly etc.

For determining Stripping value of bitumenous mixes having aggregate size 1.0 mm to 75 microns.
Specifications :A circular tray rotates in a vertical plane at a rate
of approximately 100 r.p.m. by an electrical geared motor. 4 bottles
