We are one of the only Fairtrade manufacturers in India with our experienced customer service teams in our Pondicherry factory. 9 out of 10 of our work force in India are women, many from very underprivileged backgrounds. Our products are not only helping the environment but lives, as we train hundreds of women workers with skills for life, extracting them from the poverty cycle.

We support The Wings of Hope Children's Charity's (co-founded by our Chairman, Dr Sri Ram) educational projects in India and in Africa.

Infrastructure

Our factories are some of the most state-of-the-art in India and certainly for the coastal region of Pondicherry, where they are based. The factory was inaugurated by Sir Richard Stagg, the esteemed British High Commissioner to India. The factory also won the National Example of Excellence Award given by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales from the United Kingdom. Our workforce is trained to the highest standards, under the most ethical conditions. Our goal is to create not just a product which is sustainable, but a self sustaining community who create the product. 90% of our workforce are women, who are trained to the highest standards in the bag making process. Many of the workers are from underprivileged backgrounds, and working for us, is their only source of income for their entire families.
