Salient Features

  • Bearing bushes for the pivot assemblies are made from injection moulded special grade plastic.
  • Variable handle settings suit changes in static water levels.
  • 225 mm stroke length of the handle provides a water discharge of 17 litres per minute per 40 strokes with an installation depth range between 15 m to 45 m below ground water.
  • Easy to install, can be accomplished by village women mechanics.
  • Cone Plate and rubber Cone for improved attachment of uPVC Riser pipe to pump body.

Tara has all VLOM (Village Level Operation & Maintenance) features, suitable for drawing water from low to medium lifts (up to 15 meters). Having proper bore-sealing and without the need of priming (as required in the case of suction pumps), this pump eliminates the possibility of contamination of tubewell water and delivers the ground water that is stored in underground geological formations, which has been found to be biologically safe for human consumption. TARA is suitable for more aggressive soil and water as the below ground components are made of µPVC, thermo-plastic mouldings and stainless steel. Salient Features

  • The above-ground mechanism is fabricated from welded steel plates and sections for strength, and hot-dip galvanised for corrosion resistance.
  • A chain and quadrant mechanism of the pump handle provides easy and accurate alignment of the connecting rod.
  • The handle bar has a high mechanical advantage and is designed to counter balance the weight of the connecting rods to reduce the pumping effort required by the user.
  • A unique pivot assembly (sealed ball bearings for the handle on a stainless steel axle) adds to the ease of operation and lower maintenance needs.

Salient Features

  • In addition to all the salient features of India Mark II, this model incorporates a longer and heavier handle with a “T” Bar arrangement and counter weights to balance the weight of the connecting rods at different depths. This heavier handle can be avoided when using FGP connecting rods.
  • This model is recommended for use upto 90 m depth. The number of counter weights can be varied depending upon the depth of installation as shown in the table below.

Salient Features

  • 125 mm stroke length of the handle provides a water discharge of 17 liters per hour with the cylinder installed in the range of the 15 m to 45 m below-ground level.
  • The water tank assembly has the appropriate coupler to suit 65 mm or 50 mm NB Gl riser pipes. A special cone plate with rubber cone is available for installation of uPVC / HDPE / FGP riser pipes. The cone plate and cone can also be used to reduce stresses on the Gl riser pipe joint to the water tank.
  • The Cylinder incorporates an open top cap and suitable plunger and check valve assemblies to facilitate their removal for maintenance without the need to lift the riser pipes out of the borewell.
  • Cylinder is adaptable for use with Universal Cylinder components.
  • Easy to install up to depths of 30 meters.  Use of a tripod and chain pulley block is recommended beyond this depth, if GI Riser Pipes are opted.

Walimi Deep Well Hand Pump manufacturing as per SKAT / HTN Specification

Walimi Hand Pump is available with two different cylinder sizes, suitable for lifting water from depths of 5 m. to 40m.

Stroke length of the pump is 160 +/ - 5.0 mm.

Cylinder of 3" is recommended for depths between 5 to 25 mts. and the discharge is 35 ltrs per Minute of 40 continuous strokes.

Cylinder of 2" is recommended for depths between 20 to 40 Mts. and the discharge is 15 ltrs. per Minute of 40 continuous strokes.

The Walimi Hand pump is suitable for boreholes with casing sizes of nominal bore 100 mm (4"), 125 mm (5") and 150 mm. (6") internal diameter. For exact positioning of the rising main, the corresponding centralizes need to be placed at every pipe joint and one at the cylinder.

If the Walimi Handpump is to be used in dug wells, no suction pipe and centralizes are required. To avoid swinging of the rising main during operation, precautions to be taken for locating the riser pipes inside the well and the "Anti-swing pipe" has to be fixed.

Salient Features

  • The bolts and nuts duly electroplated with passivation are used which conform to relevant parts of ISO 4014 / 4017 for bolts and ISO 4032 for nuts.
  • All plastic pipes are made of High Impact Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC-HI). Dimensions and tolerances conforming to ISO 11922-1/-2, "Thermoplastic pipes for conveyance of fluids".
  • The steel plates, Sheets and round bars are conforming to designation of ISO 630, "Structural Steels".
  • The Steel Pipes used for the construction parts are conforming to designation of ISO 559/9330.
  • Dimensions shall conform to ISO 4200.
