The sixth edition of Chemspec India — the only dedicated event in India for the fine and specialty chemicals community, concluded successfully on 15-16 April 2010 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Goregaon, Mumbai. With the economy turning the tide, the exhibition turned out to be bigger and better than the previous edition. It was jointly organised by DMG World Media (the publishers of Speciality Chemicals Magazine) and Chemical Weekly Magazine published from India.
Over 250 companies from India, China, Europe and the US participated in the exhibition. These companies represented diverse sectors as organic & fine chemicals, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), drug intermediates, dyes & pigments, agrochemicals and a host of specialty chemicals (water treatment chemicals, coating additives, catalysts, enzymes etc.).
The inauguration of two-day event was graced by a galaxy of leaders from the Indian chemical industry including Mr. Prasad Chandran, Chairman and Managing director of BASF India and Mr. Jai Hiremath, President of Indian Chemical Council (ICC).
The Connect Chemicals booth was represented by personnel from Germany, Italy, France & the host country India. The exhibition was a great success for the company; in terms of meeting the existing customers & suppliers as well as potential new ones. The event served as the perfect platform to Connect with some of the world’s best suppliers of fine and specialty chemicals and associated products & services.
