Now a days PCB's are also used to Dissipate heat. With the change in Technology and miniaturization of electronics, which has forced the electronic engineers to use SMD (Surface Mount Devices) components. Today, PCB's are not just interconnecting the electronic components but also involves lot of calculations. PCB designer must have knowledge about Fabrication as well as Soldering process. The use of SMD with higher pin count (i.e. QFP, LCC, BGA), micro via (holes having dia. ≤0.15mm) holes, conductor width such as 0.15mm, is a new challenge for PCB manufacturers.
