Magnetic Cards We offer magnetic stripe cards, which are simple PVC cards with either black or brown stripes on them. These can be both printed and encoded in a printer / encoder that is equipped with a magnetic head. These are made up of magnetic particles of resin. The brown stripes are generally low-coercivity (LoCo) and blank stripes are high-coercivity cards (HiCo). The coercivity is the ability of the magnetic tape to resist demagnetization and the higher the coercivity, the harder it is to encode (and erase) information from the stripe. Magnetic stripe can be done three tracks. Alphanumeric on first one and numeric on rest of the two tracks.

Barcode Cards We develop barcode cards that hold reference number, which has ID data encoded in it. This data can be used in a computer to scan the specific information associated with the data. These barcode can be read by a barcode scanner and leveraging on the scanning technology, these scanners can be distinguished as CCD (Charged Couple Device) and Laser Scanners. However from the application point of view, these can be classified into Hand Held Scanners, Fixed Mount, Flatbed and Cordless Scanners.
When a barcode is scanned, it is the symbology, a language in the bar code technology, which enables the information to be read accurately. It also allows the printer to understand the information that is later converted into a label. The various types of symbology integrated are code 39, Code 128, 2 of 5, 2D Barcode.

Smart Cards These smart cards are plastic cards, which have similar shape and size that of a credit card and complies with ISO 7816 standard. They contain a microprocessor and memory, which allow them to store and process data. These cards are classified on the basis of components they contain, communication and data transfer with the reader devices.
Component based classification: -
Those with a processor are called chip cards or microprocessor cards and those without a chip are called memory cards. Microprocessor cards incorporates a microprocessor. They are the ones that are technically called smart cards. The important components of a chip card are:
- ROM : Read Only Memory. The ROM holds the cards' operating system and is also known as the mask of the card. The size of ROM varies from a few KB to 32 KB , depending on which operating system is being used by the card. Once written, it cannot be altered.
- EEPROM : The EEPROM holds the cards application programs and the application data. Typical EEPROM sizes range from 2 KB to 32 KB.
- RAM : Random Access Memory. This is the volatile memory used by the processor to run the desired functions. The memory is erased whenever the power is switched off.
- CPU : Central Processing Unit. This is the heart of the chip card. It is usually an 8-bit microprocessor based on CISC architecture with typical clock speeds of 5 MHz. The CPU is responsible for carrying out various instructions.
Interface based classification : -
Smart cards are also classified on the basis of the method of their communication and data transfer with the reader device. Based on this criterion, the smart cards are classified as contact cards, contactless cards and combi cards.
