About Us

Creative Educational Aids is the brainchild of Mr. Raj Kumar - who for over 15 years taught for a secondary school, authored several Primary Social Studies books and atlases. Those days, he felt that "Everybody has been talking of teaching aids and 'play way method' of education, but there is hardly anything available in the market." This thought changed his life. In 1987 he took voluntary retirement, teamed up with his three sons Ajay, Sushil and Pradeep to start Creative Educational Aids Pvt. Ltd. and began manufacturing educational aids for pre- school & primary school children, hoping to fill up this vacuum in the market. The hungry market snapped up Raj Kumar?s first lot of flash cards and mix & match books.He did not have enough money to advertise his products and gave them to the distributors and that did the trick. Parents found the aids fascinating and local schools too liked the idea. Creative started out with just play & learn equipments By that time Indian parents had change their attitude towards children's education and were looking for toys which would make learning a joyful experience. Raj Kumar felt that the inclination towards the use of educational aids had become palpable. Hence, he organized seminars and workshops in schools to explain the various uses to which his products may be put. Mass mobilization, he feels, is a must if we have to inculcate healthy education habits in our kids. The tremendous response from schools and home markets led Raj Kumar & his sons to team up with educationists and together they brought out a gamut of colourful learning toys, jigsaw puzzles, fancy picture books and memory games that were picked up by the eager buyers. Not surprising, considering the prices were pegged for as little as between Rs. 50(USD 1.13) and Rs. 300 (USD 6.81) for the fancier kits. Now, after a decade of Creative's existence, it has a full research team that spends all its energy in creating children friendly material. To keep a strict eye on quality, it has a dedicated team of production experts and equally professional-sales & marketing team to market its product across the length and breadth of the country.
