About Us

CROWN FOODS foundation was laid four decades ago. The Company began with the manufacturing of traditional vermicelli. With the advent of processed foods in the market the Co. saw great potential in the instant food market. The Indian Kitchen was fast adapting to International cuisine, and the awareness for diet food made place for desserts made of milk, instead of ghee and mava. Initially custard powder and jelly were available only during festival season. Crown saw the opportunity of marketing them throughout the year.

CROWN suffered a major loss after a fire in 1978 destroyed the factory and shattered all dreams. But rising like a phoenix from the mishap the company rose from scratch and from a 5 lac business in 1981, the sales today cross approx. 1.5 million plus.

Learning from past experience and constantly monitoring market needs and requirements CROWN today boasts of an impressive portfolio of over 20 products, marketed in Mumbai and Goa alone, taking special care not to increase prices so as to be within everyone's reach.

The Company's inclination for promoting social causes and lending a helping hand towards humanitarian purposes underlines the company's baseline-"CROWN the company that cares".
