Our Research and development division is headed by Dr J.S.Shankar who has 11years research experience in an institution like Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) and Council of Scientific And Industrial research (CSIR) and about 10 years pesticide industry experience of agriextension activities and he is also well versed with agricultural practices and problem of entire India.

An analytical laboratory equipped with sophisticated instruments like Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) gas liquid chromatography (GLC), Particle Analyzer and Viscometer.

The company has created applied and adaptive research facilities involving field crops.The company provides an interactive helpline lead by a team of qualified and experience scientist to educate the farmers and to give the complete solution of their problems.

R & D Process

The R & D unit of Crystal Phosphates Ltd. was established in 1991 to carryout out in house field research and process development. Our R&D Division is equipped with latest equipment and experienced scientists capable of implementing ever evolving Scientific methods and techniques.

Our Research and Development wing interacts closely with Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR ) and various institutes like Indian Agricultural research Institutes(IARI), Central Potato Research Institute(CPRI), Central Rice Research Institute(CRRI), Directorate of Rice Research( DRR) affiliated to ICAR.

Our R&D division also works/collaborates with State Agriculture Universities, State Agricultural Department and other Krishi Vigyan Kendra and Krishi Gyan Kendras in all the States for generation of scientific data, evaluation of new molecules, organizing symposium and seminars and conducting scientific workshops.

The major thrust of the company is development of new molecules that are safer to human beings, non toxic to beneficial insects, safe to the environment and suitable for Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and Integrated Crop Management (ICM).

Enthused with the noble cause of serving the Indian agriculture, Crystal Phosphates Limited was incepted in the year 1997 by the visionary industrialist, Mr. Nand Kishore Aggarwal. Crystal engages in the technical manufacturing, formulation and marketing of agrochemical products – Fungicides, Herbicides, Insecticides, PGR (Plant Growth Regulator) & Micronutrient. Under the adept guidance of Mr. N. K. Aggarwal and his 36 years of rich experience, Crystal has evolved as a market leader in the growing pesticide industry of India over time.

Crystal Phosphates has a couple of technically sophisticated indigenous manufacturing facilities. One of these plants is located at village Nathupur in Sonepat (Haryana) and the other one is situated in Jammu. These production plants comprise well equipped independent manufacturing and formulation units for insecticides, herbicides, fungicides and plant micronutrients, churning out an overall capacity of 80 MT of N Capsulated granules, 60 KL of liquid (including EC, EW and SC) and 25 MT of dust formulations (including WP and WDG) per day.  These sophisticated state-of-art production divisions are furnished with the best of ultramodern technical equipments for production and packaging.

In addition, the company also possesses an analytical laboratory outfitted with modern instruments like atomic absorption spectrophotometer, gas-liquid chromatography and high-pressure liquid chromatography manned by a team of competent scientists and trained technicians. Also, Crystal has created applied and adaptive research facilities involving field crops. It is in the process to develop net/glass house facilities at its Research Farm located at Bakhtawarpur,Delhi.

Procuring 30,000 Metric tons of technical grade chemicals annually from the domestic and international markets Crystal markets its finished products over 22 states of the country via its 22 branch offices. The company's products are also exported to more than 10 countries in Europe, Africa & Asia. Moreover, Crystal is supplier to a host of major pesticide companies that defines the wide presence of its products.

Crystal is the only & the largest importer of Imidacloprid Technical & Cartap Hydrochloide in India and imports more than 13 molecules regularly. This is indicative of the pan India circulation of Crystal products, for these particular agrochemical formulations are used extensively by farmers throughout the country.

All the commercial activities are executed through an impressive and powerful association of robust marketing network that consists of more than 4,000 enthusiastic and dedicated dealers/distributors backed by a strong team of more than 200 marketing professionals with over 1,000 field assistants.

Farmer Training Program

Crystal phosphates limited has taken a lead in agriculture extension programs that educate the farmers for correct and judicious use of plant protection chemicals, proper and balanced use of fertilizers, proper seed treatment methods and other related activities. These are pre-planned and crop pest oriented programs where scientists and our company experts interact with the farming community. The agri-care program comprises of scientific discussions based on research findings, adoption of new technology, interactive farmer experiences and practical problem faced by them and methods to overcome the problems by appropriate use of Science & technology.

Village Meetings

Company’s Agriextension staff regularly arranges village meetings in all the states and educates the farmers about pest and disease of their crops and recommends appropriate solutions on the spot.

Yield demonstration

We started the concept of yield demonstration to strengthen the concept of seeing is believing. Under this conceptual measure, the company adopts a farmer’s field and undertakes everything from sowing to harvesting technology; relates this with the conventional methods adopted by the farmers and compares the yield increase in company adopted field in front of all the farmers at field day during crop harvest.
