About Us

Concord United Products was started in the year 2000 as a joint venture with
Jiangnan Saite NC Equipment Co. of Suzhou, China to service the latent requirement of low cost CNC Wire Cut machines in India.
Concord introduced this proven technology for the first time in India in the year 2001. Our first Machine was installed in March 2001 and we reached the milestone of the 50th installation in Feb. 2004.
The promoters and management of Concord, both in China and in India, are experts in tool making, each with over 20 years of experience in the field. The beginnings of Concord were the result of seeking ways to improve tool building quality and schedules at an affordable cost. Our access to and knowledge of tool rooms in South East Asia and China in particular, helped in zeroing in on technologies that help in building tools with much shorter lead times.
During our study, it was found that, along with other factors, the presence of low priced wire cut machines in these tool rooms was one of the most important factors in meeting tight schedules. However, the wire cut machines available in India were machines using expensive Brass Wire Technology, were mostly European or Japanese manufactured and were typically higher priced at around Rs.50,00,000 to Rs.10,000,000. While those industries that required higher accuracies needed those machines and hence paid the price for it, it was too high a price for those who did not really look for such high accuracies. The machines were therefore unaffordable to buy and to run by a majority of users, which meant a high demand for the few existing machines which in turn resulted in delays and longer lead times for any job requiring a wire cut machine.
A follow-up study in India confirmed the requirement in the tooling industry as well as in other areas of manufacturing such as aerospace, small batch manufacturing and prototyping. We observed that 80% to 90% of the time all tool rooms required accuracies of about 10 microns and machines with reusable technology would meet these requirements easily.
With this analysis, we concluded that there exists a need for such machines in the Indian Market and thus was born Concord United Products Ltd. with a Joint Venture with Jiangnan Saite NC Equipment Co of Suzhou.
