Optical Brighteners

Naphthols 1

We offer qualitative and pure napthols 1 which are electrochemically active and used in textile industry for dyeing of fabrics. Our finished napthols contain simple water soluble diluents and offers very large number of shades to the dyed textile. The napthols form insoluble pigments on the fibre when coupled with diazo solution of amino compounds known as "fast bases" in dyestuff trade.

Physical and Chemical Properties:

Appearance: White, gray or tan crystalline powder.
Odor: Phenolic odor.
Solubility: Very slightly soluble in water
Boiling Point: 278 - 280C (532 - 536F)
Melting Point: 95 - 96C (203 - 205F)

Stability and Reactivity:

Stability: Stable under ordinary conditions of use and storage. Discolors on exposure to light.
Hazardous Decomposition Products: When heated to decomposition, it emits acrid smoke and fumes.
