About Us

The unit was started in the year 1943 by Shri I.S.Ambewadikar with an experience of 18 years in engineering industry. It was engaged in assembly of small Lathes, soon became an ancillary unit of The Mysore Kirloskar Ltd. Harihar.

In 1959 his son Mr.P.I.Ambewadikar, has started a unit with an idea of promoting engineering products, in the name DATTA ENGINEERING WORKS. The firm concentrated in the activities of manufacturing of Ferrous and Non Ferrous Import - Substitute components of various products required by different types of Industries.

In 1980 Mr.Dattatraya, and Mr. Ravindra - sons of Mr. P.I.Ambewadikar joined the firm and steered to further growth. The unit has now grown into full fledged engineering workshop. The collective experience of six decades, the effective management and dedicated workforce has enabled DEWS to develop and manufacture variety of quality Products, Components, and Assemblies.
