Osmosis is a process in which the difference in the chemical potential between two solutions separated by asemi-perrneable membrane, forces low from low to high concentration solution. Reversal of flow by applying pressure in the opposite direction is called reverse osmosis iron
 
Ro systems pump feed stream through membranes under pressure & produce two streams. The permeate stream contains no micro-organisms & reduced dissolved solids reduced by as high as 99.5%. The concentrate stream is loaded with the separated sales and hence with higher dissolved solids.
 
The way Ro systems are manufactured in modules for various flow rates using thin film composite spirally wound membranes. They systems are designed taking into consideration feed contaminants, Pre & post treatment, product stream requirement. Maximisation of recovery. How characteristics etc. and a through technical evaluation supported by computer analysis and past experience. Quality components are used in building the systems to ensure efficiency, ease of operation, long life & aesthetics.
 
Standard modules available for 45 lph to 25000lph capacities. Other modules on request

Water – a fundamental requirement of life is becoming a scarce commodity. It is not always that we get water to suit our needs. Suspended particles, biological toulants & many a time higher Ionic contents are to be removed from basic source water to get purified water for various applications like portable water, desalination, ultrapore water for semiconductor  manufacturing electroplating rinse water, waste water recycle, pharmaceutical food processing etc.
 
Sometimes, the concentrates separated from feed stream are the desired end products for applications like ED paint recovery, juice /food/tea/sweetener concentration, recovery of valuable materials etc iron process streams.
 
Reverse osmosis is the latest state of the art technology used for above such applications.

Oil Skimmers are used to skim floating oil on water surface. They find an application in areas such as

Skimmers are available either as  “ DISCS “ or as “BELTS”. Disc Skimmers are used in applications where the variations in water level are low and collection tanks are smaller - such as Cleaning Machines  & Degreasing Baths. Belt skimmers are used in applications where the variations in water level are high and tanks are bigger and deeper  - as in Effluent   Collection tanks.
 
DISC SKIMMERS  

Consist of the following
  • Fine Polished Disc made of SS 304 to diameters 300 or 350 or 400 mm facilitating adhesion of floating oil in the tank to its surface on either side  & designed to skim 5 liters/ hr max of oil
  • Two stage worm gear box to impart low speed to the disc
  • 1/4HP Motor, 3 phase, 415V+/-5% VAC, 50 Hz, 1440 rpm coupled to the gear box and from reputed make such as Kirloskar, Bharat Bijlee CG, Siemens etc
  • Location Block Assembly connecting the above to the tank
  • Wiper Assembly with wipers made of Teflon to wipe off the oil adhering to the surface of the disc on either side.

BELT SKIMMERS 

  • Special Polymer Belt with smooth surface to 4” width x 1 mtr length (or as required by the application) facilitating adhesion of floating oil in the tank to its surface on either side and mounted on a drum & designed to skim10 litres/ hr max of oil
  • Single stage worm gear box to impart low speed to the disc
  • 1/4HP Motor, 3 phase, 415V+/-5% VAC, 50 Hz, 1440 rpm coupled to the gear box and from reputed make such as Kirloskar, Bharat Bijlee CG, Siemens etc
  • Rotating Drum with knurled surface to impart low speed to the belt
  • Wiper Assembly with wipers made of Teflon to wipe off the oil adhering to the surface of the disc on either side
  • Weight placed at the bottom loop of the belt to provide enough tension to the belt while in rotation
  • Can be supplied with Single or Multiple Belt
     
Mini BELT SKIMMER  
 
  • Special Polymer Belt with smooth surface to 2” width x 0.6 mtr length (or as required by the application) facilitating adhesion of floating oil in the tank to its surface on either side and mounted on a drum & designed to skim 5 litres/ hr max of oil.
  • Fractional HP DC Motor to 25W apprx, driven through single phase, 230V+/-5% VAC, 50 Hz
  • Rotating Drum with knurled surface to impart low speed to the belt
  • Wiper Assembly with wipers made of Teflon to wipe off the oil adhering to the surface of the disc on either side
  • Mechanism at the bottom loop of the belt to provide enough tension to the belt while in rotation
  • Overall Size: 200mmW x 150mmD x 200mmHt




Ozonators

Ozonators produce Ozone using air, which has 21% of Oxygen as feed gas. Air should be free of dust, oil, moisture for efficient conversion. Generally Drier is used to obtain purified Air. Oxygen gas can be used for higher yields of Ozone.
 
Corona Discharge Ozonator.
 
This produces more quantity of Ozone compared to other methods. This Equipment operates on the principle of Corona  discharge ( CD) which takes place at high potential between two electrodes separated by dielectric medium  and constant Air gap. CD is identified by typical hissing sound. When purified Air passes through CD, part of oxygen is converted to Ozone. Ozone has a characteristic foul smell which does not last more than 20 mins ( after which Ozone gets converted to Oxygen again) . The pressure of feed should be less than 1kg/sq.cm
 
UV Bulb Ozonator:
 
This employs a special UV  Bulb housed in a chamber through which feed gas ( air/ Oxygen) is passed. The bulb products UV light at a wavelength capable of splitting Oxygen atom to form Ozone.
 
Operational Details:
 
Typical  schematic is as illustrated,. Compressed Air after drying is fed to the Ozonator. Output Ozone is injected through Venturi fitted with NRV. Ozone dissolves in the partial flow through Venturi & Later thoroughly mixed with main stream flow. Ozone can also be bubbled through a porous diffuser. The bubble raises through the column, ensuring thorough  mixing of Ozone. A good recirculation in either case ensures complete missing.
