Industrial Air Dryers

This type of Dryers, the saturated compressed air pre cooled in the Pre cooler / Reheater by the out going cooled dry air with out any additional energy requirement. The inlet air is further cooled in the Evaporator to the required DEW point. The cold air is then reheated when it passes back through the Pre cooler / Re heater.

Low temperature refrigerant is supplied to the Evaporator by a refrigerant Compressor and condenser. The Thermostatic Expansion Valve and the Hot Gas Bypass Valve match the operation of the refrigeration system to the compressed cooling load. In the Evaporator, heat is transferred from the compressed air to the refrigerant.

This process cools the air, reducing its capacity to hold the water vapor and resulting in moisture condensation. The excess vapor condenses and is removed from the air system by a Separator and Automatic Drain valve.

Desiccant dryers are of various types based on its application on mass transfer principle. Wet air having an inlet temperature of 40°C enters the Prefilter to remove any oil and other contaminants which protects desiccant's long life. Pre-filtered air enters into adsorption tower through valves controlled by an electronic timer. Moisture is absorbed as the pre-filtered air flows through the tower and the air then passes through an after filter which removes any desiccant-dust carry over. While the other absorber tower undergoes regeneration with a portion of dry air exits from adsorption tower. Air is purged out and required dew point of (-)40°C is achieved.
